1 cup oats (quick or old fashioned) -- uncooked
    1/2 cup pecans -- chopped
3 tablespoons margarine or butter -- melted
2 tablespoons brown sugar -- firmly packed
1 package-14oz banana nut quick bread mix
    1 cup water
    1/2 cup banana -- mashed
    2 eggs -- beaten
    3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Heat oven to 375 deg. Lightly grease and flour bottom only of 9x5-inch loaf pan. Combine oats, pecans, margarine and sugar; mix well. Reserve 1/2 cup; set aside. In large bowl, combine remaining oat mixture, quick bread mix, water, banana, eggs, and oil. Mix just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour into prepared pan; sprinkle top with reserved oat mixture. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until wooden pick inserted comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan; remove to wire rack. Cool completely.
