Girl/guy it shouldnt matter, this society is so screwed up with people who think that a naked girl is just innocent or is a victim of rape or something like that whereas if a guy is naked they think he is some pervert and wants to hurt people. People just need to get over all this stupid crap about being uncomfortable with the body and just learn to live and let live. Still if she really is your friend then she wouldnt mind you being nude and would just get over it like ya get over anything else youre uncomfortable with.

Why would it be sad? Youd just be doing what is comfortable for you and what you feel is right. If your friend is exposed to nudity enough im sure she would come around to it and get to likeing it, especially since youre her friend im sure she would remember that and not let the fact that youre naked bother her. Its not natural or healthy to feel uncomfortable at the sight of a naked body. She really should get over that uneasy feeling.

Unless what somebody is doing really bothers me I dont even bother to mention it because even though I dont like it I wouldnt want them to feel like they have to change just to please me. Im sure youd be more uncomfortable putting clothes on than she would be seeing you naked. Asking a nudist to put clothes on is almost as bad as asking a vegetarian to eat meat, you dont ask them to eat meat and thus you dont ask a nudist to put clothes on.

The best thing for your friend would be for her not to have that unnatural feeling towards your nakedness and to just be yourself and not something others expect you to be.

Best way for her to come around to you being a nudist though is to just get used to you being naked then youd have more options available to you if you and your friend wanted to do something together because then it wouldnt be restricted to some clothed activity. Youd think just letting your friend keep that unnatural tendancy would be even worse than letting her see you naked.

Yah so maybe if your other friend was just around you naked enough, maybe even if she got naked with you then she might not feel so bad about the idea of you being naked around her. If you never get naked around her and she keeps her feelings the way they are then youll never know weither she would ever come around to the idea of being around you naked or not.

I wouldnt ask, id just do it and then at least i wouldnt be disrespecting their feelings because I wouldnt know if it bothered them or not and at least if it did then I could just explain myself and explain that im a nudist and its just me and its what I do and then maybe it wont be such a big deal to them. if you ask and they say no then youll never find out if theyd come around to the idea of you being naked without getting naked and thus showing them disrespect. i would think that if you dont ask and just go naked, most likely they wont have any problems with it and might actually be excited about the fact that you had the courage to actually go naked.

Then why not do that with clothing, society should persuade people to wear clothes and respect their views if they dont and not force it on them. The same could be said for them that could be said for us.

I just think their attitude was filled more with hate and a single minded agenda to get Bush out of office and not centering as much on getting Kerry in there, they really didnt care who they got in there or how they did it as long as they got Bush out. I beleive the democrats will lie cheat steal bribe do anything they have to just to get what they want. The republicans im sure did their own mischevious things but they were not so apperant and didnt seem to do them nearly to the extent the democrats did. Kerry lied about his service in Vietnam and he lied about his interest in hunting and other sports related things that he didnt even care about.

Kerry changed his story more than anybody else did. he had like 2-3 different accounts of it.

Bush didnt do that, it was the democrats trying to fix it so they could get their candidate in.

He just had poor intelligence, he actually beleived they were there and then when he found out he told the people the truth.

Kerry seemed to flip floip alot, he did whatever needed to be done, no matter how evil and illegal it might be just to get in office and he lied about his military service and his love of hunting and sports and other things which he had no genuine interest in and he had like 3-4 or more different views on what he was going to do about the Iraq situation which in reality if he got in office he wouldve just tucked his tail back and pulled our troops out and wouldve wasted all the money over here on his stupid special interest groups.

Why should it matter if anybody cares or not? Nobody HAS to look at you and if they dont like what they see nobody HAS to stay near you or let themselves be hurt by your nudity. Also if people do not want to see you naked in your yard then they shouldnt be looking in there, thats your property and they got no business snooping in places that they dont belong and if they look in there then they get what they deserve. Im sure you dont go lookin in their yard.

We should all share the same beaches as one society and not be seperated between the clothed and the nude.

I dont get why seeing 2% more of your body is really gonna bother anyone when they already let you show off 98% of it almosy anywhere you want to, might as well just give in and let you show the rest of it off, its not like its gonna hurt em. If society gets to let people wear all sorts of slutty outfits with swear words and nazi symbols and bare midriffs without any complaint then you should be able to go naked without any complaint as well. Those other things can be seen as offensive but yet theyre allowed so nudity should be as well, especially since nudity cant harm people like those other things might be able to.

Its none of mine or anyone else's business if someone masturbates out in public, only if they do it in a way that could be seen as offensive or overly sexual, as in if some guy does it in front of a woman to try to seduce her and she doesnt want him to then it would e wrong but if someone was discrete and did it for their own pleasure then its noones business.

Yes but masturbating can be used for the wrong reasons whereas simple nudity is not unless someone is doing something lewd or sexual while naked.

The only way i could think people could ban masturbation in public is if people think that those who are masturbating are using it to go after women.

I dont care if they do it as long as theyre not trying to do it directly in front of me and doing it in a sexual way.

I think there needs to be some legitimate reason for it to be not allowed for masturbation to be illegal though. Like I said if people are just doing it for their own personal comfort and not trying to do it to attack people then its not wrong.

Most people's views about nudity have no foundation and are just the result of brainwashing by the media or the result of how their parents brought them up poorly. Im sure most when they really stop to think about it areint even bothered by nudity or dont even see it as a problem. Instead of just giving into them id like them to stop and think about what theyre trying to say before doing anything about it.

Its YOUR body though and it belongs to YOU and only YOU should be able to decide what you wear or dont wear, because if people can decide what you wear then you should be able to decide what they wear and thus that means everything they wear thaqt you dont like they should have to change. Im sure you dont go around telling them what to wear so naturally they have no business teling you to wear clothes just because they dont like you being naked because maybe you dont like them wearing ganster clothing or skimpy low cut stuff or something like that.

If they didnt have bras or if people didnt wear them as much then these girls would not feel the need to wear them because they would be almost non-existant and nobody would pressure them to wear them or tell them false facts about how theyre comfortable and helpful for them. Too many people wear bras and too many girls feel overpressured to wear them even when deep down they know theyre not healthy or right to wear. Bras hurt people and shouldnt you do whatever you can to get people not to do something that is going to hurt them? I think cigarettes should be banned just like bras because neither helps anyone and people make way too much money on them as it is, which most of that could better be used by organizations and people who actually need the money instead of a bunch of sleazy cigarette giants and stuck up fashion companies.

That's not true, you wouldn't do anything of the sort. You have the opportunity to do this in your own situation, and you don't. You're excellent at critiscising others for not just taking their clothes off and making people deal with it, but you don't do it yourself.

Second, society doesn't need to be persuaded to wear clothes they already are. We are the ones suggesting a change to the status quo. You have to come to terms with the fact that what we want, most other people don't seem to want. The quorom is

And finally, your point about it being like asking a vegatarian to eat meat is flawed I think, but it might betray something interesting. In many of your postings, you act as though you, and all of us, are embarked on some sort of quest, some kind of mission. For there to be an analogy between vegetarianism and naturism, we would have to be people who had a fundamental ethical problem with wearing clothes. I personally don't have any such objection, and neither I think do most of the other people that post on most of these boards. For me, it's nice to take my clothes off, and to go naked, but wearing them is not some huge deal. Indeed, I prefer to wear clothes in a lot of circumstances. Vegetarianism just isn't like that, many vegetarians feel that at least for them, eating meat is actually wrong, and it upsets them greatly to ever do it.

 

No it doesnt because if it did then id have nothing to reply to now would I? I just dont accept the fact that I need to appear in a manner just to suit other people's feelings when its my body and when im not doing anybody any harm im just being myself and being comfortable. Its a big double standard for others to say i need to be clothed to be able to set a good image for society but yet these people can turn around and wear slutty clothing that to many would be alot more offensive than me being nude yet theyre allowed to wear it and nobody says a damn thing about it. Different situation here, we're not talking about some random friend or stranger in my situation, we're talking about my parents which I still live with and which are stuck up and conservative/religious up the kazzoo and which areint worth getting naked in front of when i can just wait a few years until im living on my own and then i dont have to give a damn about it. I mean it wouldnt be worth the trouble, i could do it and i probably should but i just dont want all the crap theyd throw at me if i decided to get naked in front of them because they get soo pissed and paranoid about everything. I know you dont understand what im saying but my situation is different, a friend is easier to be naked in front of than my parents, you could tell a friend to just deal with it and do it anyways, but i cant do that to my parents because i cant afford for them to get pissed at me and then do something im gonna regret. Once im on my own then I dont have to care what they think about my lifestyle or not and im not gonna worry about it then.

Well its because they CAN without much hassle or risk and I cant or at least it wouldnt be very beneficial for me or worth the trouble if I did. We were naked in the beginning and other people forced us to wear clothing so why cant we demand that they let us be naked like we were intended to be? its our god given right after all. I dont give a damn what they want, being nude is better than having to cover myself in some unnatural artificial peice of cloth and act like im ashamed of myself. Theyre the ones who changed how we originally were when we were put on this earth and imposed their unnatural tendancies on us so its only fair that we take back our god given rights that we deserve. Some people are uncomfortable with vegetarians eating only veggies and some people are uncomfortable with nudists only being nude so unless you say that making vegetarians eat meat to make others more comfortable then you cant tell a nudist to wear clothes just to make others comfortable.

Maybe we areint but we should be. Nudists should stick up for their rights and not let some ignorant greedy and selfish bunch of individuals who dont know the facts impose on our rights and force things on us and opress us just to suit their own sinful needs. Some of these other people think theyre all high and mighty when really theyre more evil and sinful than most nudists are and itd make more sense for nudists to make more of the decisions than these people because at least theres a better chance theyd make decisions that were in the best interest of everyone. People would not have been put on this earth naked if god or nature intended for them to wear clothing, simple as that.

Well I was just describing the "ideal" nudist, one who makes being nude part of their life and does it frequently and is as important to them as veggies are to a vegetarian, not all nudists are like this I realize but you know what kind of nudist im trying to talk about here.

Well, Mike, that's why you rub so many people up the wrong way. You assume that it's the same for everyone else, and it isn't. For most nudists, nudity is just another clothing choice they'd like to be able to make.

Well, unfortunately for you, that's a fundamental tenet of how Western society works, based on Plato's idea about justice being "the greater good for the greater number". Of course, you have every right to feel that things shouldn't be decided that way, but you must realise that you are calling for essentially either a libertarian or anarchic society, which is what only a few posts ago, you were critiscizing others for apparently wanting. That being the case, you need to think what your world would be like if everyone else could also do what they wanted and you could have no say in it (even if that does only include things that wouldn't hurt you). I know it's not what I want.

 

Well when it comes to MY body and what I do with it, i shouldnt have to care what others want me to do with it, just like its none of my business what others do with theirs unless theyre trying to commit suicide or something like that.

 

How is anyone supposed to get nudity accepted in society and us to get the freedoms we deserve if we have to worry about what ever little twit thinks about us walking nude around them? Youre not gonna please everyone no matter what you do and when it comes down to your own body you should be able to do what you want with it and not have to get other's permission. I just dont like bras cuz theyre ugly, artificial and besides giving women a false sense of comfort and health, they do absoulutely nothing to help women and later in life become more of a risk and a hinderance than actually helping them. Women should be banned from wearing bras for the sole fact that theyre a huge health risk! Besides women look better and more natural and more themselves when they dont have the bra on. if youre not someone with upright and big boobs then why pretent like you are just to make your friends happy and impress them, just be yourself and youll know what your real friends are because the real friends will stick by you reguardless.

 

i myself am not a big fan of the bra, but i do like them when i'm doing physical activity (walking, running, hikinh, etc.) other than needing the support then i rarely wear one...well sumtimes when i need to make myself look "good" for the sake of my superficial father... BRA's SUCK~most of the time...

 

Well if youre used to wearing a bra so much then yeah its gonna hurt when you dont wear one if you run. I would think that if girls just never wore a bra in the first place or never even knew they existed then theyd continue to live their lives normally and the thought of needing one wouldnt even cross their minds.

its something i never think to buy. i had a dodgy pair of jeans though that the zip comes down by its self. noticed a few times when walking thru town that i can feel a breeze and my little man is hanging out. i dont tend to wear them jeans much anymore.

 

i think if no one wore bras life would be wonderful because i hate buying them and it's so hard to find them right. so i wish they did not exist. though i like sports bras because since i run track and cross country it would not be good without them.

 

If god thought we really needed bras for anything, including sports, he wouldve built us or provided us with one, he didnt so we obviously dontneed it and any feeling that we do need it is just in our heads. People have trouble getting enough money for basic things they need, best not to waste it on stupid things like bras that nobody needs. Better to have food on the table than a bra on your chest.

Well im sure if you got used to them being in the way then it wouldnt be such a big deal but it is to you simply because you dont have to let them get in the way and youre so used to them not getting in the way that when they do its a bigger problem than it would be if you just never wore a bra in the first place and just thought it was natural for them to get in the way. Like i said, if you were meant to wear a bra, youd be born with one.

 

Most people dont have really big boobs that get in the way anyways, most of the time its just people who THINK their boobs are big because thats what society and their friends tell them to think and its so engraved in their head that they actually start to beleive it.
