I never heard of ball lightning at all. edit: in regards to std's. I take it you're playing with words?
Hello, I'm not a MD, so I'm not 100 per cent sure. Can you shed some light on where the light never shines? Regards Gyro
I know, I apologize I guess I was simply too excited when I noticed I actually do know what ball lightning is.
I heard about ball lightening first back in the late 70's when the tv show Project Bluebook aired. I laughed my A O when I read that title. I just woke up after working night shift last night and believe me, few things are funny to me right now.
Hello, I'm not sure if anyone has seen ball lightning in nature. To me it seems like the gentlemen in the pic just sat down, lit one up and then the phenomena happened . Regards Gyro
Hello, not that I can remember. I know about Tintin, but can't remember the adventures in detail. Regards Gyro
That's something else, I can not remember that adventure in detail neither I have the feeling almost all europeans grew up with Tintin, Asterix, Lucky Luke and the likes (in the same sense americans grew up with superhero comics) The comic we all seem to share is Donald Duck magazine...
Hello, yepp, I read Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and Fix and Foxi. Later I switched to Yps, which by hindsight was a great ripp off . Regards Gyro
Never heard of Yps and Fix & Foxy Donald Duck magazine was not that good either. The longer stories are much better. I loved it as a kid though, but the other ones I named are the comics I still appreciate a lot.
Hello, Yps was a magazine from France (or Belgium?) IIRC. They had a gimmick coming with every mag: a detective id card, a spy telescope, brine shrimps, survival kits and such stuff. All cheap stuff, some worked, some not . I can't remember buying Asterix or Lucky Luke regularly. DD magazine are the thin mags? I liked the bigger booklike ones (Lustiges Taschenbuch as they are called here) better. Ah, and then there is the comic from the bank called 'Knax' and 'Lurchi' from the Salamander shoe company. Great stuff . Regards Gyro
I got most of them on birthdays and stuff, or get them from the library. Or exchanged with friends. I read most Tintin, Asterix and Lucky Luke several times for sure but didn't own all of them by a long shot. I remember Tintin especially really fascinated me, probably because I wasn't introduced to that time period he was in and that kind of indiana jones adventures he had before.
Hello, all grown ups ranted against comics, but give them to me anyways . Nowadays all this comics have become collector items, as it seems, and people are willing to pay big piles of money to get them. Regards Gyro
Oh, not in my experience: all grown ups were raving about Tintin in my youth, that's probably why I got those, not because I asked for them (at first). Hmm well I do think they criticized some cartoons but yeah, there was always a lot of rubbish so can't blame them.. same with me when I read a donald duck when I'm at the dentist or something, I just think: what is this shit! It must have been better when I was a kid I don't like the word comic at all by the way, it doesn't fit the thing it's supposed to define. Cartoon is already better. We call them strips in the netherlands (probably because it's a strip of images hey, it makes much sense here!).
I just got hit with a bad case of the Grease Lightning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK63eUyk-iM"]Grease - Greased Lightning [ With Lyrics ] - YouTube
