WoW Man that explains everything! I'm sorry you had such pain. Glad as hell you are feeling better! Skip is dancing a jig at the news
It Frightened Me.....Never Had Anything Like That Before... ...Doubt I'll Be Going To Town For My Paper Today.... May Ring Them And Ask To Put It Away And I'll Pick It Up Monday......Still Got 3 Hours Before They Close.....But I'm Giddy And Still Trying To Throw Up......Wouldn't Be A Good Look In A Crowded Shop...... Cheers Glen.
Yeah.... I was on Lyrica once. It caused racing thoughts and weird feelings. By the end of the second week I had voices screaming in my head. The last night I was on it, I was trying to sleep and completely lost my mind. The loudest angry voice you could ever imaging just screaming "CRACK! CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!....". That was the end of that! Then I tried Cymbalta for a few weeks. No voices or racing thought but it just made me super down, zero energy and sickly, like a bad flu or something, and it didn't touch the nerve pain. Then I got on Gabapentin. I was on it before but the initial dose was too weak to do anything, 200's I think. Pain specialist put me on 600's, and they actually help me out a lot. But I can't take them every day, body tolerance, and they become useless. I save them for the really bad days and they do take the edge off.
What's Making Me Really Angry With Myself Is Last Year I Ran Into A Lady That Works In A Shop I Frequent. We Got Chatting And I Told Her I Had Had Shingles.....She Went "Right Off" And Said Two Members Of Her Family Had Experienced It.......And Then She Went On To Say......I Hope Your'e Not On "Lyrica"...... THAT IS AN EVIL DRUG....It Messes With Your Head.....My Two Family Members Stopped Taking It And Now They Have Their Brains Back. Thank You For Telling Us Your Experience With It relaxxx. Cheers Glen.
I remember now...I discontinued it because it made me fall asleep driving, once; and a few days later I feel asleep sitting up in a restaurant drinking coffee and talking with my husband. I went back to gabapentin just fine. Hubby stayed on the Lyrica until he lost his insurance and Gabapentin was cheaper so he went back to it then.
That lady sounds like she’s being insensitive and disrespectful and ignorant of your situation. That can be annoying when you have been crook. Might be better to go and see your GP and see if you can use something that has less side effects to it.
Lyrica only gave me double vision... Interesting driving that way. Cymbalta just about killed me and I can still trace memory issues back to that time, ten years ago... Gabapentin works okay but I quit taking it when they raised my price 750%... So now I don't take anything and feel like crap 24 hours a day.
