15 year olds get drunk and crash their cars or do other stupid things all the time. but i see your point. i just really don't think it's going to be a problem once everyone knows what it is and what it does, and decides for themselves whether or not it's for them. there's already a lot of negative hype among teens that it's "fucked up" and "stupid", and "don't even bother with it".

:) it's not really up to me though.

Guys, in all honesty is this any surprise? Even if this drug never killed anyone.........it doesn't really matter. Look at weed. Heck even look at acid (how many people have died from acid?? close to none).

Our drug laws have never had anything to do with how dangerous drugs are. All our drug laws are more political in nature. I can't believe some of you still advocate that some drugs should be banned or even regulated! Are you that blind to see the truth?

I mean.......society has gone on for thousands of years with government staying completley out of substance regulation. You think some racist, ageist, and fascist drug laws today speak about a policy that should stay?

Will Salvia eventually be scheduled? You bet (unless Ron Paul becomes president). Any drug that isn't tobacco, alcohol, or caffeine will eventually get banned under our current system. Legal ages won't help. So it's pointless to advocate it.

I agree. The point is moot. Salvia is doomed, and will become illegal. Politics is Politics. The people who make these decisions wont look any further than the tips of the cigarrettes hanging from their mouths, or the lip of the scotch glass in their other hand. Theyve got theirs...

Pretty much. Buy a plant and turn it into a garden.

It's articles like this written by people who don’t know anything about what they are writing, or haven’t done their research properly that makes people think that all drugs are the same, I’ve heard people compare cannabis to heroin, "its addictive" "you’ll become a criminal to get a fix" "the Deadly plant" and best of all "It's a gateway drug" and anyone who has never tried pot would believe it! fuck that, the common man should be informed properly, scientists should be allowed to study these plants (Cannabis, Salvia) and others to determine their negative effects, or lack thereof, on the body and the DEA should but out and let the publish their studies!!
"Don't knock till you've tried it" eh? :)

The DEA would never do such a thing nor would they ever budge. The DEA is a political organization, not a public health organization. They are in place to enforce laws against public enemy number 1 and 2, which is cannabis and LSD. Our government hates psychedelics, even lesser psychedelics like MDMA. Our government hates cannabis, cocaine, and opiates because they are associated with "degenerate races", "rebellious youth" and "un-Americanism".

Well, isn't prohibition itself kind of unAmerican? It seems like this country was based upon the idea that we should be able to do whatever we please so long as it does not harm others. Or maybe I'm just being silly

"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." Abraham Lincoln
