I've been hanging with this little dog who lives next door, and he has bad breath... Any idea how I can fix this without spending any money?
I don't exactly know how to make them, but I buy these dental chews for our boy and they are chewable treats that are minty and designed to help teeth and gums and bad breath. They're meant to last around 15mins but our boy chews them up in 20 seconds. Bad breath usually means some mistreatment in the mouth or bad oral care. Rotting teeth etc. you can try brushing his teeth? but they don't much like that. or maybe, find something for him to eat that's nice and chewy and not smelly to begin with, maybe rice... and use peppermint or mint sauce over the top? Hehe. I don't know. It's not your dog so you don't want to spend money on it. Leave a note in their mailbox asking to buy dental chews for him. I have noticed a lot of charcoal ingredients in treats at the moment. Supposed to help oral hygene, though I've learned that charcoal is quite good for brushing teeth with too. Berrrh. Some charcoal treats are also meant to stop their farts from stinking. :d
Are the treats you give your dog called "greenies"?? I suppose I could go to the pet store and see how expensive the different dental treats are.. With this whole dog sharing/support system thing I have going on though, I want to avoid having to spend money on the pooch, as it really isn't my dog, and I don't want to get sucked into that kind of responsibility. Especially because I just don't have the funds.
