backwards messages

I was thinking about this recently. Certain bands supposedly worship the devil. Bands like Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Alice Cooper. You name it. Reminds me of a quote I heard...."It's not the devil, it's congress. They passed a secret law to put backwards messages in songs. Their goal is to kill rock-n-roll because they know it makes us horny." That might not be the exact quote though. I've forgotten if there was more to it.

Well there is reverse speech first proposed by David Oates, who believes you can explore the unconscious mind and reveal the actual intent of the speaker
by first recording their words then playing it backward.

 

People have talked about subliminal messaging for years, but their is no real proof that it actually works.
Their was even a suggestion that cinemas were using frames inserted into films to promote their sales of popcorn. This was not only rubbish, it was technically impossible.
Even people who believe that suggestion could work, would hardly run it backwards. What would be the point.?????

If you run English backwards, it sounds like German. So if I send you a recording that has not been rewound. will I turn you into a Nazi supporter.???

 

I’ve heard dozens of David Oates recordings of speeches by famous political figures on coast to coast am, and what they reveal when played in reverse are sometimes shocking.

 

Could this simply be because the English language is founded on a lot of backslang. for example. Boy = Yob.
Would the same be true in other languages throughout the world.?

I played it backwards for my brother at my parents house and then when i turned to look at him something flew straight at me. I jumped out of the way then looked behind me and there was a bat upside down on the curtains. Never ever seen another bat where i live. True story.
