Yes, let's get rid of ALL REGULATIONS. Business can be completely trusted and will only treat ALL citizens in a fair manner. Hasn't experience taught us that this would be a good deal for ALL of us?? We should also bring horses back instead of using vehicles. And I want 8 tracks back in play. And videos. look--------products come and go with regularity as better products and methods take the place of older technologies. It's time for medical insurance companies to go and it's time to put utility companies on notice that their services will be coming to an end one day. Same with oil companies. We shouldn't worry about them. They have huge amounts of money (as do those that control them) and they'll be just fine. in fact they'll probably buy up any green companies that come along to keep us in their control. My guess is that the Kocks and their ilk, will end up running whatever is next, green or otherwise. They won't have a problem gaining control----they'll just lavish money on the suck-asses that will jump through ANY hoops to get that dough. Which is most everyone in "our" senate and house.

One thing through the show I have noticed, it seems that over and over, people struggle through various ages and cultures to arrive at a "people solution!" When there isn't ever, or hasn't ever, been a "people" solution. Only a human one that gets arrived at inexorably or get's interrupted by a "pompei" event, which seems to be the only real equalizer. Those societies that have been terminated by a natural instead of internal event. I don't know where it's going - history is only so much of a road map of dynamics rather than roads. It onlymatters by degree, whether we end up in shanty towns or disaster refuges, depression or utter stone age. I do not think this time will be "utter stone age" but that's only guessing based on the more widespread knowledge than before.
Whenever I hear the word regulation, I hear the words: barrier to entrepreneurial growth. In most instances, regulations are written to the benefits of major industries and they often use it to thin out the competition. Regulation writers, corporations, and the banks all have orgies together.
If there was no regulation then there would be even more bullshit sketchy business than there already are lol...that's why you have to pay all those filing fees and shit. Thing is tho...anything is legal as long as it's legal on paper even shit that ought to be criminal. But solar energy is the cleanest energy...it is not very space efficient tho but if you covered every roof with solar panels it could supply a good portion of the electric demand. But the utility companies aren't going for it because there's no money in it, the return on investment is too low they wanna get richer quicker...and the private citizen making their own power and cutting the utility companies out...da fuck outta here all they see is green $$$$ but not the type of green that's good for the environment just the green papes!
The problem with solar energy for the owner to use, is that there is such a high cost for the installation of panels, and then you have to factor in statistical probability of how much sunlight will reach hypothetically installed panels on your house. (Neighbors trees might be blocking or grow to block the sunlight for your panels in the future) Now solar technology is a lot better and is pretty efficient now compared to the solar power the 1980's had, but solar panels still depreciate over the long term after 5-8 years or so. But if you want a model and glimpse into the future for the USA about what solar energy can do in the positive sense for the nation, one must look no further than the State of California. Also let's take a different approach on this and also say that solar power still cuts down on a lot of air pollution in general that is very toxic to people and contributes to Asthma and harming pregnant women. Solar still solves more problems than it creates and is totally worth the investment while some of the countries top brains continue to develop other energy solutions that are even better than solar.
Yes, this is how libertarians tend to dismiss the entire concept of regulation-- as opposed to looking at individual regulations and sorting them into 'good' and 'bad' categories.
When I think of good reasons for the people to rise and crush their elected officials French Revolution style, taxing the sun is pretty high on that list.
<< Yes, this is how libertarians tend to dismiss the entire concept of regulation-- as opposed to looking at individual regulations and sorting them into 'good' and 'bad' categories.>> Yup. Idiocracy. We already have that, worse year by year << When I think of good reasons for the people to rise and crush their elected officials French Revolution style, taxing the sun is pretty high on that list>> Well, I would have to say me too, maybe "American Spring" next month will get some pf that sort of tyranny and greed under control. I find it insulting as hell they even try to pull that "tax" off.
