backpacking/hitching with pets?....

Anybody here take there pets along for the trip or hitchike with there pets?
just curious

 

I've taken my dogs camping with me. Does that count?

 

I've met people backpacking that had their dogs and cats with them.

 

i met hitchikers that had their dog with them.
they told me they took him every summer when the hitched around.

 

I take my dogs with me everywhere I go. It doesn't seem fair that they should sit at home while I am out enjoying the world. They can climb almost anything I can climb and go almost anywhere I can go, and the places they can't climb and go by themselves, I help them.

 

i always have my to little mice with me if i go backpacking, but they are also so small, but not if i'm going out of the country.. they won't let them come with me..
