rubber bands are pretty bad period
leaving them in for one day wont hurt much but a week... i'll feel sorry for your head

one guy i knew from work had rubber bands in his dreadlocks
i told him to take them out so he went to the bathroom and began to take them out
he had them in for a couple weeks or months... so his dreadlocks basically begin to "eat" the bands, and they where getting thinner at the root...

as the hair tangles it tangled around the rubber band some weird way... so he had to snap the band to pull then our of his dreadlocks.. and some hairs came with it
    later he thanked me haha
picture another week, that would have been a disaster
    luckly he didnt wax

lol son maybe you've got dreadlocks now, but backcombed hair is just that. backcombed hair. it takes time for dreads to form. dreads aren't an instant thing

yall fools had knotted hair for two weeks and callin em dreadlocks

lol @ insecure ass folk gettin huffy over an internet forum

there aint no reason to call others fool, the wisest man becomes the fool when he stops educating and starts berating
impart knowledge dont depart into name calling
the quickest wayt to close a mind is to open your mouth and let out an insult

Yeah. I have to agree with that. It's pretty important to be accepting of everyone, regardless of the fact that they have different beliefs then you do.

I say rip&twist if your gonna do anything, but honestly seems like your not that patient so maybe dreads aren't for you...backcombing is dumb and I can imagine-painful!why do you think it would work the 5th time?

I had this problem but I just left mine and they are slowly coming together :)

You have got to be so patient xD Just forget about them, check them every week or something, worked for me :)
