Was at a wedding and everyone took pictures with their smartphones. Did not see a camera in the entire place. Got home and downloaded the Pics to a desktop. Yes, I'm a dinosaur. All of the various pictures in my device had been tagged with a date and a location. Not by me. Wow, so my device is not only tracked; each photo that is taken is identified by time and place. Not for my convience, but for who? I am going to take that old camera out and use it.
Every single digital picture taken is automatically tagged with precise geolocation coordinates unless the device is specifically altered not to do so. Sleep with one eye open.
I still take pictures with film cameras. There is a certain je ne sais quoi. The quality of the image, the way you frame the shot, the perspective of the photographer, and more all lend to a certain unique quality. Also not having instant gratification is something unique these days.
I like it when it does that. Take a photo and tells me when and where. I'm not a paranoid but case where like if a photo gets tagged like there's automatically some secret government agency looking at my photos.
i've never owned an actual camera. probably would never bother if there wasn't one conveniently included with my phone.
If it's an older digital camera, then there's a chance that it doesn't embed geolocation info. Any new camera does though, as well as every cellphone. http://www.howtogeek.com/211427/how-to-see-exactly-where-a-photo-was-taken-and-keep-your-location-private/
