humans have been idiots for a very long time. the time that interests me, whether its past, future or on some other world in a different solar system is when interurban and narrow gauge outnumber automobiles and horses both. treelined, quiet and green. people in no hurry, as if for humans that's ever been, and not emotionally dependent on excitement, but rather each persuing their personal fascinations. i know there were bad things happened before building codes, but most them still do. consideration is the thing, not a time, weather future or past. odd little places, when people weren't trying to hurt each other in them. there is no magical wand of the past, but there have been places and times, scenes i can cut and paste in my mind. Holy shit---that many people on Coney Island at once!! Crazy!!! My barber had a poster like that back in the 50s. Flat tops were very popular. Flat tops with long sides also.
