I'm not having kids any time soon, but I like the whole baby naming schpiel so I'll give you some anyway. I'm a practicing Jew, so I like Hebrew names. Hebrew's a beautiful language anyway. I also like Italian names because a lot of them (especially the female names) are just so romantic sounding. Boys: Elijah Isaiah Jacob Isaac Girls: Liliana Lunetta Hannah Rebecca
Hey, Well, 12 weeks to go before baby#3 will join us and so we have a few favorite names, we could change our minds at the last minute if the name doesn't fit,but here they are; Boy - Cirdan River Girl - Willow Cerridwen Kathy
I always thought it would be so cool to have a boy named Jonathon and a girl named Jennifer? what does everyone else think?
I agree I love Ruby too, mainly because of Ruby Tuesday (the song). For me it was the opposite. My real/birth name is incredibly common (in the US it's 11th most common over all ages, not sure about the UK) and I always hated that, the fact I didn't get on with any of my namesakes didn't help . Then eventually I discovered Sage and decided I was more of a Sage than my real name. It would have been nice to have been named that a birth, but that would never have happened (my parents are very normal). It's funny because my brothers name is Richard, and while Sage & Richard don't match they suit us perfectly. I'm already thinking about names (as you may have guessed) and make an effort to only use one 'far out' name per combo. My favourite boys name is River Thomas Jude; so he has an unusual, common and something in between name to pick from. I don't do that so much for girls. They can handle it.
Boys: (Love Biblical names for boys, but don't really the girls) Haustin Elijah Jeremiah Jacob Luke Gabriel Lennon Garcia (boyfriend's two favorites) Alabama (don't ask) Girls: (I have a really hard time finding names for girls that I actually like) Ashanti Charlotte Grace Orchid Mikhail (me-kel)
I already have 7 kids named Elizabeth Dawn, Forrest, Philip, Amanda Lee Annie, Kevin Tyler, Ryan William, Sabrina Conkey Sabrina's middle name is my last name. Philip was only 3 when Amanda was born but he gave her the second middle name "Annie". I have worked with people that have the name Autumn, Summer, Skyler,Starr and I liked those names too.
i have 2 girls. Silver Rayne Sable Eyre (air) i am expecting another girl in Dec. i need another "S" name. any ideas?
I like the names: Dezra Ann(G) Madden Lynn Elaine(G) Renee Dawn(G) Boys: Sebastian Jade Damien Micheal
Just try not to end up with repeats, theres four benjamins in my family, i'm the third in my "intermediate family"
While in AZ the last couple years, a friend's small daughter called me Sunshine and would correct her parents if they tried calling me by my real/given name. Last year I even got a sunshine tattoo on my arm because of the nickname and started collecting things with a sunshine design. So my first choice in a "S" name would have to be Sunshine. My mother's younger sister is named Shannon and my almost 7 yr old daughter is named Sabrina. A nurse's aide that I work with has a girl named Skyler. We had a neighbor in AZ named Stormy (which I thought was very different/original) I also like Samantha, Selena, Serena, Starr, and Summer
Yeah, Sage is a really pretty name. I've known some cool ones and one wierd one. (Not you.) I was just talking to someone today about how I personally am not crazy about naming kids adjectives. I once knew sisters named Chastity, Charity, and Faith, I think, was the third one. Adjectives and values. I don't know. That's kind of a trip. No pressure, Chastity. And what's with naming kids after cars? "Microbus, Creativity, come on, it's time to go!" Teehee. "Converted Schoolbus Tolerance get your butt down here and wash your hands! It's time to eat!"
I wish I had given both of my kids names that started with the same letter/sound. Then when I am calling one and start with the wrong name I could catch myself before they notice! I'm totally serious! I like those names, BTW. How about Sage? A nice smelling, purifying herb and a wise person. Sadie?
A friend of my parents did that, she says that it's even harder to get their names right. Anyway, S names: Summer (for irony lol), Stella, Sky/Skye, Skylar, Sapphire, Sequoia, Saorise (sair-sha), Siddalee, Sophia, Salvia (latin for sage), Samara, Sanna, Samira, Scarlett, Savannah, Serena, Shakira, Shania, Sienna, Soraya, Sorcha (sore-sha), Storme For boys: Sebastian, Schuyler, Stellan, Sage, Sajan, Samir, Salman, Sacha/Sasha, Saul, Solomon, Seamus (shay-mus), Sean/Shaun, Serge, Shea/Shay, Shiva, Silvester, Storm Those are all I could think of (with a bit of help from a name book )
names I like: (G) Kira Kyah Kasia (kay-zja) Summer or Autumn (depending on when they're born) Arraya Alaina Destiny Trinity Sierra Sequoia Sienna (B) Forrest Sky Westley Evan Erik Jacob Caleb Thomas Ian (farily normal names for the boys!)
Levi LOL, You're a trip! It is hard with the inlaws when your kids have weird names. "What is wrong with Jesssica?" OMG. My FIL's name is Leonard, so the inlaws aren't too bad with Lennon, although I never call the boy "Len." (Well, at least I try not to.) His grandparents always do. I think they tell their freinds he is named for Grandpa. sigh. He's named for John.
i'm not becommin g a parent anytime soon but in the future.. hmm their names would be any of these: Maya, rayne, raine, raina,Che,tommy
