I was just wondering if anyone has seen this movie...It has Eli Wallach, Carroll Baker & Karl Malden in it.. I think it is an awesome movie from back in the 50's...

When Josh Brolin was in his early twenties, his father James Brolin, gave him a copy of BABY DOLL and said something like if you want to learn how to be a good actor, watch this movie and study Eli Wallach and Karl Malden's performances. Wallach and Malden had both performed Tennessee Williams on Broadway. Wallach in THE ROSE TATTOO and Malden in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. The screenplay for BABY DOLL was written by Williams, one of only 2 screenplays he ever wrote. The other was the screen adaptation of his play STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. Williams must have had a great deal of respect for Karl Malden as an actor because Malden was in the only 2 movies Tennessee Williams ever wrote.
