    Nice short little read...

I was interested because I went to High School nearby in 68-1970, and stumbled across many hippies from Arlo Guthrie on north to Pittsfield and over to Woodstock... there is another EXCELLENT venue in the area at Tanglewood, where I saw many concerts with acts like the Who, Jefferson Airplane, BB King and more...

And of course Alice's Restaurant was a real place and I have been there.

The Rowe Center ... My only connection with that part of the Bay State was an occasional weekend retreat at a Unitarian-Universalist Camp and Conference Center in Franklin County. I do recall taking the hairpin turn in North Adams and of riding along the Mohawk Trail!

That sounds like an awesome place also !

I haven't done many retreats, but enjoyed one once at Tassajara Hot Springs back in the day when Ed Brown was still making bread.

This fellow who wrote the Tassajara Bread Book was teaching us how to bake... way fun :)
