Soaringeagle: Its funny you mention that drug/depression stuff as I had gone off of prozac maybe a month before I started it. Additionally I am not vegetarian, but trying to slowly work towards it. I can't seem to figure out how to send a personal message.

Click the person's name you wish to contact and it will open up their personal info.

Scroll towards the bottom till you see where to send a PRIVATE message.

I hope your fast goes well, but you definitely should not be exerting yourself for 3 miles!
Fasting is most effective when it is combined with meditation and repose. Isolate yourself and contemplate your being. Try yoga as opposed to highly strenuous activities such as hiking, biking, running, or swimming.

so many people here are all "WHAT?? 5 day fasting! thats anorexic!" but it really isn't.

Its an old procedure taken place in Indian and Native American culture, only the traditional fast is more familiar in Indian religions (ie - Ghandi did many a fast in his day) whereas in Native American cultures, they had sweat lodges.

I've taken part in a week long liquid fast because I couldn't do it on water alone - and I like to maintain my blood sugar, which OJ does perfectly.
I agree, the mental clarity is STUNNING! I refrained from liqour, tabacco and weed for the entire week and I felt amazing afterwards! So refreshed, and most of all, energised!! I could go forever!!
