At what age did you start your period and start to get breasts?

yeah... i got it the day of my BEST FRIENDS SWIMMING PARTY!! at like age.. 12 i think?? i was with my best friend (morgan) and his family.. i told his mom (we are close) that i had started and she gave me a pad.. but then i called my mom cause i didnt know what to do.. cause of course i didnt know how to use a tampon.. my mom was like, "just dont get in and out of the water a lot!" grrrr... of course, i didnt heed her advice, and i ended up with blood on my legs... jesus, that was that tramaic... everyone laughed!!! oh well... i got boobs around 12 too, thats when i started wearing a bra but i dont think i really needed one.. only now am i really started to fill out.. and im 16!

 

I got mine when I was 13 - I was one of the last of my friends and I was OBSESSED for awhile with the fact that I hadn't gotten it yet...

I remember being like 11 or 12 and looking all the time at how much hair had grown or how my boobs were growing - I was a curious one...

When I finally got it, it was right after soccer practice and I came how to find blood in my underwear....I was SOO psyched (god I had no idea what I was in for!)

my friends wanted to throw me a party LOL

 

im the latest bloomer on here so far. i got mine when i was fifteen.

i used to hate it that every other girl seemed to have theirs before mine.

now i dont care.

 

I was 9.

 

I got my first period when i was 11... I felt sick so my mom said to stay home from school... and then she left for work... leaving me in the house by myself... i was watching tv and decided i had to pee so i got up and went into the bathroom .. And there was blood everywhere... I freeked... I knew what it was... but i didnt know what to do about it..... So i called mom at work and told her.. she got all mushy and was all like "my last baby is growing up" (im ther yonngest) So she told me she would be home in about a half an hour with some things for me... So she came home on her break with pads for me and some chocolate

 

I don't remember how old i was, but i was in 9th grade. I was a late bloomer growing up. I'm 22 now. My bra size is a 32A, so i'm still waiting for those to grow. But i'm in no hurry.

 

got my perion during my 13th birthday HAHA and I didnt really get boobs untill I had my first child!!

 

I developed a little more quickly than the other girls I was friends with, and I was also overweight, so I had my first bra - a "nearly A" from Playtex when I was in 4th grade. It was to embarrassing - I would look in the mirror every few minutes so check my strap lines on my back.

Luckily, my mom was very open with me so I knew all the facts of life by this time. She was also great about being discreet and helping me through puberty as painlessly as possible...

I got my first period right when I turned 10, just before 5th grade. I was a pretty smooth transition for me (thanks to my mom, as I stated above.) She had already bought me my own pads and let me know where they were in case I started my first period when she wasn't around. What a wonderful woman! The only hard part was taking the HUGE pads to school (this was me pre-tampon). None of the other girls my age had started theirs yet, so I had a hell of a time "smuggling" pads to the bathroom with me.

Oh, growing up is so much fun... =)

 

I got mine when I was 12. It was May Day, 1997. It was a mortifying day. We were going to a party my parents' friends were throwing and my MOTHER practically told EVERYONE that I had started my period that day. I just wanted to die. I can totally see myself sitting on a psychiatrist's black leather couch when I'm 30 and telling him about this traumatizing event. I'll be sure to send the bill to my mother.

I think it was around same time when I got my first bra. The first time I wore it to school, I remember how this one guy just couldn't stop staring at my boobs. They were the same boobs as the day before, I don't understand how wearing a bra could make such a difference. Again... it was quite mortifying.

 

Age 9.

I was at a Chinese restaurant... I thought the sweet and sour sauce had gone right through me.

I remember wearing my first training bras around the age of 10 or so. I grew pretty fast and by the time I was 12 or 13, I was a C cup, which is pretty embarassing. Luckily I haven't grown anymore, I don't like huge boobs on myself.

My period started when I was 10 right before I went to karate practice. I always would change in the bathroom in class before karate (my karate lessons were in the school gym because the guy would come to us) and so when I saw the blood in my panties, I knew what it was and immediatly ran across the school to my mom who was an elementary school teacher. I didn't want to tell her what was wrong because there were lots of other teachers there but I kept saying things like, "mom, I CAN'T go to karate today" and "mooooom, today is NOT a good peeeeeeriod in my life". It took her forever. But yeah... I remember having the hardest time with tampons at first, it would hurt so bad because I was already sensative due to cramps. Ah, bad times.

 

Haha, same thing happened to me. I was a 13 year old with a C cup and it was so embarrasing coz everyone else was a lot smaller. I just kept praying my boobs would stop growing... and luckily they did.

 

Gosh, I can't imagine dealing with huge boobies...

I remember the first time I realised mine were different. Me and my girlyfriends were sitting around in my living room, playing truth or dare and we all eventually were topless...and when I finally took my shirt off, my friends asked "What's wrong with your boobies?" I looked around at theirs and then back at mine...I was shocked...Mine were little nubbins with no nipples...I was mortified....Ahh, the joys of adolescence...

 

heh....this is funny. i started my period when i was 11. i knew what it was, but i thought you only got it once and then it never came back. so i thought i could get through with my period w/o ever telling anyone and without any pads or tampons... HA i was so stupid. i got a bra in sixth grade. i didn't need one and i still don't really need one unless i'm wearing something tight. also you need to have a bra in middle school cuz thats when you have to start changing for gym. unless of coure you'd rather change in the bathroom....

 

I was 10 when I got my period. I was almost a 34B by that point also. I was a tomboy so, it was horrible. But now, I love them & glad they started growing early.

 

I started my period when I was 10. By the time I was 15 my breast were a "DDD" cup size. I still hate them to this day! But men love them, oh well!!

 

i was 13 for period, 14 for breasts (if you call A/Bs breasts lol)

I remember it was the summer of 6th grade, August 21 (don't ask how I remember THAT) and I was out camping. -.- that is one of the most horrible times to start because I was in the middle of the woods with a) no pads and only tampons which I didn't know how to work and b) no showers. I was all bloody and I thought tampons just worked like pads and that made it even worse! I had to go swimming that day but instead I just hid in the woods and whatnot. I also got stung by a wasp that day. safe to say one of the worst days of my life. I didn't get boobs till grade 8, and I still barely have any.
