Oh yeah ... do it all the time out hunting. Whisky and ginger wine ... mmmmmmmmm. Soon warms you on a cold day.

    Who's your favourite author?

    James Patterson, hands down.

What would be your idea of a perfect day?

    Winning the lottery.

There was studies done on people losing limbs and it turns out a year later most of those people are as happy as they were back when they were whole. Would you believe that?

I believe there are studies done which showed this result ... I'm not convinced I accept the validity of the studies or of the result, however. I had an uncle who specialized in qualitative surveys. He said he'd get you 60 / 40 for any proposition you cared for in a study that nobody could impugn the methodology. And if you changed your mind about what result you wanted, he'd go out the next day and get you 60 / 40 for the exact opposite result. So I never trust 60 / 40 surveys in favour of the outcome which the promoter wanted to achieve ... and you seldom get a result which is more pronounced than 60 / 40.

Are you any good at maths?

    Incredibly abstract stuff, no.
Though if someone put a relatively basic maths test in front of me with nothing obscure or astronomically difficult, I'd suffice.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be and why?

I'd abolish time zones, so we could all chat together at the same time

Have you ever been to Hawaii?

Yes, timezones are indeed a pain.

Nope, I haven't. It is on the bucket list, though.

Presuming you've been overseas (I presume most people have, if not everyone), where's the best spot you've been to?

Grande Plage, Isle d'Oleron. On the French Biscay coast.

There's some pretty stunning places on Gozo, too.

Do you prefer spending your holidays sunning yourself on the beach, or climbing in the mountains?

Sounds awesome. I shall investigate, given that new places pique my curiosity.

Definitely climbing in the mountains. I burn quite easily if I'm not careful, so that just about rules out sunning on the beach or anywhere else.

If you had one day to live, what would you do during that time?

It's not a continuum, Puggy ... you will NEVER become a cup!

Why can you be a clock-watcher, but not a watch-watcher?

because watches aren't clocks-it says so in the instructions Ie;Do NOT strap this alarm clock to your wrist. You will run the risk of damaging it-plus you'll look like BeachBall having a 'good idea'.

Is there a reason tomatoes are red?

they turn bright purple if i've been standing a long time and every couple of yrs. one of my big toenails turns black and falls off. it's been happening since i was 18. must all be caused by a circulation prob, i guess.
