Why do they call a 'tall boy' just that?

 

Because a 'lowboy' is table height-usually 3 'full width' and two 'half' draws.
A tallboy is usually five full width draws.

When did you last buy a ballpoint pen-as opposed to 'acquiring' one?

 

I don't buy ballpoint pens. I have a Shaeffer fountain pen that belonged to my grandfather ...

Read the dictionary like a book.

Why is sandwich meat round when bread is square, pizza's round delivered in a square box. And why are doughnuts only round, not square? Who decides the shapes of all food forever more after? WHO?

 

First off to many questions. Second off there is square meats, and square pizza's. The boxes are square because its difficult to bend cardboard into a circle. Have you ever seen a bareclaw? They are not round.
