hey, I'm learning Chinese, i've never been to China or anything tho, i wanna get a job over there from knowing Chinese (and before that a job here for Chinese tourists, since we have a lot of them here) btw, go Traditional Chinese text, lol **dont really like simplified, but i'm learning both forms anyway**
Hey there, kababayan! I was born in Quezon City, but now I live in Davao City. It's a lot more laid back here, and there are a lot more trees. From what part of the Philippines do your parents come from?
I'm not from asia, but I've traveled there. Dubhai in U.A.E is awesome. Very modern, great shopping options, entertainment etc. I liked India and Southeast asia (esp. Thailand, cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia) cuz of its Hindu-Buddhist culture and all its wonderful food. People outside the tourists areas are very friendly.
I'm not from Asia myself but I'm heading off travelling around India and south east asia in January for 6 months.
When I'm older I'll probably move to Asia I already know a little Japanese (300 words or so...I learn about 15 new words per week if I want, I've just been lazy the last couple of months.Japanese is pretty easy to learn), some pieces of Korean ( numbers and names of attacks) because I do martial arts, and uhhh... two words in chinese which I picked up somewhere ( ma=horse, Ni-hau!=hello). BTW: Asian guys are hottt! ( or atleast most of them), *drools*
I also picked up a few Korean terms the same way. Let's see if I remember my Taekwondo-lingo correctly: Charyot! (Attention!) Kyong-re! (Bow!) Jun-bih! (Ready!)... ...and that's about it, unfortunately. Oh, and there's "kimchi". Anyone like kimchi as much as I do?
I'm English, but i've lived in HOng Kong for alomost all of my life. It's pretty sweet to be honest. Theres a different attitude to many things than you'll find in most western countries. To be honest, I find people a lot more friendly than in Europe/America. For example, I wouldnt worry about going anywhere, at any time of the night in HOng Kong. I could be fucked off my head, crawling down the road in the dodgiest area of Hong Kong and theres still almost no chance I would be mugged or anything. I'm moving to England for Uni in about a week or so, but I'm very glad I was given the oppurtunity to grow up in an environment like the one Hong Kong offers. I've been afforded a lot of opportunities I would have missed if i'd lived in the UK, and I'm grateful my parents decided to live here. I've also travelled in a fair few other Asian countries. Feel free to pm me if you are curious about anything Hong Kong or asia related, i'd be happy to help...
Aaaah...third form Japanese....watashi wa, ponydozer! Hehe. O hayo gozaimasu? Shit did I spell that right?! One of the countries I really want to visit is Thailand. One of my ex-boyfriends went there a lot and had all these amazing stories...like racing tuk-tuks hehehe!
''two words in chinese which I picked up somewhere ( ma=horse, Ni-hau!=hello).'' very cute u r !! n u r very nice i think!^^
