IMHO, Aristotle was the most important man that ever lived

 

He named a bunch of flora and fauna, and laid the groundwork for botany. That is commendable. He also made many totally wrong claims, ie: mice spontaneously grow out of dirt, dust, and old rags left in a corner.....
He did not support scientific method, and in my view was a fine organizer, and a poor scientist. I am no expert on him though.
I would list Imhotep, Akhnaten, Solon, Ramses III, Zarathustra, Buddha, Alexander, Julius Caesar, Pythagoras, Herodotus, Yeshua Ben Joseph, Ghengis Khan, Muhammed, Da Vinci, Isaac Newton, Thomas Edison, Nicola Tesla, Einstein, Gandhi, MLK II, JFK, Mother Teresa, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Nolan Bushnell, Bill Gates, and even Oprah ahead of him.
