What I mean is, God calls to us and we look for him, it is a reciprocal arrangement. No one is left behind. Time will not end as long as one of God's children needs time. First we remove the log from our own eye, then we can see to remove the speck from our brothers. Love does not seek it's own. What we do not invite God to heal will not be healed and as we are healed our brothers are healed with us. As we forgive the world, the world gains forgiveness, as we are forgiven. the last judgment is the last or final one that man makes, then Gods' judgment is restored to man. God created the world and saw that it was good. Gods' judgment is our inheritance in creation, we are free not to accept it but not to decide what it is. How lovely the forgiven world, a view without sin, a view of the world as God created it.
I mean we are creative in our outlook. We are creators like our creator. Heaven and earth are diametrically opposed perceptions of the same phenomena. That phenomena is the manifestation of our conceptions. The measure you give is the measure you get. This is not a buy now wait 6 weeks for delivery proposition. Our minds are extremely active and powerful and it's effects are immediate. Only our own thoughts can harm us. As we entertain an "impure" thought that likeness begins to form in the world. Like calls unto like.
But yet ridding of such impure thoughts and things deemed mechanical in self-nature can be a lengthy process, so what is the solution really? It seems awfully contradictory. You can set yourself out to recreate your outlook, "invite" more love and spirituality, get rid of personal set backs, and even though some say it's as soon as making a choice or an "invitation", at the same time it does take practice, which asserts time is needed. So what's the deal with that? Lol
Solution is equal dispersal. We have varied results because we have varied interests. Actually "impure" is understood in a particular sense. All thoughts are pure, that is consistent of themselves. Impure then becomes "inconsistent". You have an outlook. Creation is new in every instant. How long is an instant? There are no outcomes, we are perpetually emergent. One of the most immediate and effective ways of reducing anxiety, rest for the weary, is to resist the temptation to express negatively oriented thoughts. Each complaint is far more than idle but an active attack on the decent fabric of your reality. The squeaky wheel may get the grease, but the wheel that functions properly, doesn't squeak.
I generally choose not to express my dissatisfaction, so I can't say that resisting the expression of it has helped really. In fact I find it makes me more reserved and less in tune with the things happening around me, communication seems essential but people don't ever want to get into "touchy" subjects in person per se, at least the people I come into contact with. Friends, family, stranger. What do we really call what you're speaking of? Some sort of enlightenment? Attainment of inner peace? Coming into tune with the "so-ness" of things? I don't know what is trying to be achieved through this discussion, so perhaps a recap.
What I would like to convey is the function of the metaphysical linguistic equation, as above, so below, or whatever is loosed on earth is also loosed in heaven. To point out that we are devotional in nature and that same devotion is in effect whether your terms are religious or whether your terms are secular. We all desire our good. While we have advanced somewhat along these lines so far mostly, terms have been challenged.
Alright sure, but "loosed" isn't a word so what do you mean? Lost? Loose? I don't exactly deny the capabilities contained within religion or perhaps holding genuine faith, but I also can't exactly say that I execute any particular religions path, so where am I placed in that spectrum? Also, what do you mean when you say "terms are being challenged" (who's/what's terms)? I'd like to make sure I am understanding you correctly.
This is a very good synopsis. As far as becoming reserved and less in tune, that is way, way to slow. There is no remedy from negative emotion. The only thing you can do is remove your faith in the idea that the negative emotion has something relevant to say about the world. You will not allow a "negative" thought to entertain your mind for long if you know the truth will set you free. Our minds are simply undisciplined toward our own good cause.
Archaic, meaning unleashed. We are hard wired to find our good, from the wall of a cell, the instinct for self preservation, to the sense of gratitude. It doesn't matter, you fit. The curriculum is required the form is optional. Read post #'s 1 and 2 to get the idea.
Yeah, I've read it. Seems to have a dash of ACIM in it. Technically speaking though, we can say what makes good and bad is matter of opinion. Who's to say which is truly good, which is truly bad, in a world where every such "term" made is made by and upheld by ourselves? It just seems pretentious to call any one thing "absolute" or "absolute Good". How would you know?
Humm, that is a lot to extrapolate from the statement that good and God are synonymous terms. The word god comes from a root meaning "that which is invoked". My contention is simply that we can have a discussion using the word good in place of God without changing the content of the discussion and vice versa. To say that only god is good is saying there is no opposing will or dissenting opinion, or, good is the god of all.
I don't see how it's extrapolating, it's a valid proposal. You mentioned terms, we as a collective humanity set terms amongst ourselves to try and meet. I went a step further as to ask what can you truly call Good and what can you truly call Bad? Good and Bad are just as much as mental conceptions as anything else we're supposedly trying to avoid here. This also applies to the supposed terms.
Bad is not one of the terms I'm dealing with. I think I understand your point. The good that I am talking about is not an ideal we try to emulate but the thing we are made of. We are devoted, all of us to our good being. We are devoted, all of us, to maintaining our body temperature.
I coming in at the end of this, but I tend to agree with OWB. Goodness is an attribute of God, like omniscience, omnipotence, etc. But saying God is good isn't the same as saying God and Good are the same. Saying I am brilliant (which is true) isn't necessarily saying that I and brilliance are one and the same, or that I'm nothing but brilliant (I'm also handsome, agile, athletic, kind, good in bed, and very modest.)
