This one is called Old Church, and is a church in disrepair and covered with vines.

This is called "Taking Christ to the World," and is my Christmas 2012 painting.

I got another painting done over the last weekend. One can tell the season in which I paint.

you have some very good work here.

you use color very well. lots of very nice landscapes

the renderings of human figures and faces look primitive for the most part

some classes or books might help, unless you want that effect

If you're judging from the Christmas 2012 painting, I didn't have my full art set with all the brushes, so I know the human figures are not that good. I agree with you and hope to find some training, but it's tough to find.

the work that he is doing now is very good. its doesn't have to be anything different than what it is as long as he is happy with it

my guess is though that he himself would like to see his skill improve

I wouldn't criticize if I didn't see that he is very talented. I already see flashes of brilliance in his work. some training could take him up to a new level

Thanks for the encouragement. I do want to improve, and believe I have over the 4 or 5 years since I've been painting. I'm always up for constructive remarks.

I'm moving more toward the use of transparent watercolors. I like the effect much better.

Now that's what I call a body of work. Great stuff!

dutch "I do want to improve...."

Me too, and I've been at it for over sixty years! It never ends.

It's for sale. If you check out my web site on my profile, you can order prints, framed (if you want), and even canvas prints.
