Arm's Next-Gen GPU Architecture Almost 200% Faster Mali is ARM's current gpu and is used for things like cellphones, but its nothing to brag about, just a cheap gpu that's good enough for a cellphone. There are plenty of other cheap gpus out there to compete with, but ARM is now claiming their upcoming gpu is 200% faster, which is a huge leap in power. Designing a gpu is more of an artform than a cpu, but they appear to have spent the time and money to design a better one, which is good, because they're now jambing as many as 30 billion transistors on a single chip, which means they can simply use more transistors and not have to keep up with the likes of Nvidia and AMD. Merely by making a gpu larger, they can compensate for all kinds of issues, such as a slow cpu.
