I agree. It's a terrible comparison. Far more animals have died than Jews, and nobody ever ate a Jew to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for pointing out how much worse slaughterhouses are. I'm glad you enlightened me!
I should point out (again) that my g/f is Jewish and my great uncle was at the liberation of Belsen, before anyone accuses me of being a nazi....

It's definitely not though. It's one of the worst. And extra animals are killed everyday- because the "kosher" animals have to be killed in a very exact way so when mistakes are made, extra animals are killed so they can meet the kosher quota for that day. It's ridiculous. And it's not like the animal feels any better just because a religious person is doing the slaughtering. Kosher slaughter should be illegal in my opinion, but it seems like anything is allowed under the name of organized religion.
