    I'd say he already hasn't.
He basically called everyone idiots in his other thread.
But whatever, I have endless chances to give everyone : )

Coffins,. One of the biggest scams of modern history! The cost of a funeral absolutely astounds me. It is literally rediculous.

    Yep!
I'd prefer my body be eaten by bears.

You don't seem incoherent or unduly proud to me - you actually come over as a thoughtful person who thinks quite deeply about things. At least in many of your posts I've seen.

I don't want to make a big deal out this issue of preparation for death. I'm not exactly planning my funeral - just making sure my daughter won't have to pay for it. Thing is , I'm not entirely in good health these days and although I could go on for some years yet if I'm lucky, I could on the other hand get a complication any time, and that would be that for this body. But I feel I am prepared in some ways.

As for questions of people seeking power, or an escape in wealth and so on - that's a big issue indeed. I've never really been into all that. People have different orientations in life. Why that is so is again, a big question. You get people who are 100% entirely 'worldly' in their outlook, others at the other end of the spectrum, most are somewhere in between. It varies too in different cultures. In the modern world I feel that mostly people are brainwashed by consumerism and a shallow kind of take on life. And indeed, death.

I was never afraid of death until I had a child. Before, i constantly lived just on the other side of death and I loved every minute of it (i didnt want to die, just to clarify, I was just very adventurous and enjoyed doing dangerous things)

Having a child changed me though, now I live in constant fear of it. I think its because I lost a parent as a child and I would never want my child to have to go through that.

interestingly enough being in situations where sudden death was likely to occur. Is is all possible those deaths did happen. Just dont remember them, are these the battle black out spots I hear other vets talk about. It happened so fast. But why are you the chosen survivor to tell the games story?
How do you know you didnt die last night from a supernova? Can you prove without the shadow of a doubt this isnt a well designed hologram, a computer game where your character just keeps on playing its role?...

  10. I don't know how people can stand having children. I would be so worried all the time. It'd be constant panic attacks.

    I cannot.
    And I kinda like it.

Whatever life, death, reality is.. I've just begun to feel that it really is all okay. No way of proving so.. But I feel that that is the case.

The burden of proof lies on the one making the assertion :)

Don't care in this case : P I can't prove it to myself even, let alone anyone else.

But why would I fight a sense of wellbeing? That would be silly.

Having children is one of the hardest and yet most rewarding thing you can do.

I don't think I'd find it rewarding, and I think the perpetuating of that idea as if it will be true for everyone is damaging to society.

  16. I struggle with understanding how all of the cruel misdeeds of the world and all of the suffering is all okay. Maybe from a grander perspective it is all just a flash in the pan. I still have a hard time seeing it that way, though. I want cruel people to be punished. I don't want them to get away with the crimes that they commit. And I don't want the impoverished to suffer.

Some people are born just to suffer and die painful deaths. I just don't know how to reconcile that. Is there any justice for them? Or is, like, life just such a gift that the ways and means of our Earthly existences aren't all that important? Who knows. Maybe to have lived at all is just the greatest gift somehow, no matter what you experience.

  17. If I had kids, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. I'm compulsive like that. I'd be up every thirty minutes making sure their pillow wasn't suffocating them or something.

Well, I don't find the idea we're all living in some computer simulation comforting at all. Or convincing on itself. So that's why i pointed that out in this case :-D

    Oh : )
Well I don't find it either comforting or discomforting. The wellbeing comes from not minding, not the actual situation.

The Bible describes death as a deep sleep until the resurrection. So what is very comforting to know that when you die it’s just like going to sleep. Safe in Jehovah’s memory.
