Are Women More Superficial?

WOW. not in my house. My dh has more shit than I do. He actually has more clothes and more shoes (and NO he isn't a metro at all, he's a hairy, unshaven, tattoed old hippie)he has loads of guitars, banjos, stereo equipment, amps, key boards, and has filled an entire TWO garages and attached sheds with tools, and they spill onto the rooms of the house, and the deck, and the yard ect. He had more shit than I do, and he spends more money on shit than I do. But I don't think that makes him superficial. He uses SOME of the stuff (although he won't throw away an old rusty screw "In case I need it" yet will buy an entire box for every project. *sigh* He's a packrat, and far from all the shit in our house is mine. He'd need a fleet of trucks to move.

If we're all so problematic, perhaps you might consider sticking with your fellow males instead of moaning about what horrendous creatures women are. Problem solved.

 

Maybe if half of you would think with your brains (like some of the other women have done here) instead of just fly off with some emotional reaction , you could understand what the fuck I was saying in the first place and lose the risk sounding like someone who failed to read through.

 

Oops, sorry that I don't have enough time on my hands to read through seven pages of messages and simply based my opinion on the first page. Do forgive me.

I just get sick and tired of seeing men bashing women yet we're good enough to have sex with, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems as though there aren't a whole lot of threads around here with women complaining about men, but I've seen quite a few from the men coming into the Women's Forum and complaining about us. Why is that?

 

It appears that if you agree with Libertine you are deemed by him to be intelligent....i have read through your entire thread here and yawn yawn some of your others on these Forums relating to women.
My opinion...and you will neither thank me for it or credit me with any intelligence for it.. is that you appear to be obsessed and a little confused and possibly intimadated by the females of the species.... EVERYTHING that is on the outside is superficial, and that applies to men and women.. you cannot see inside the minds of us all... or hope to enlighten us when you are so confused yourself... You protest too loudly about conformity and try too hard to convince others of your amazing ability to pigeonhole women into just two catagories...those who agree with you and live by the laws of Libertine are worthy of your lasting attention...and those who appear to you to be outwardly supeficial ( i say outwardly because no one is TRULY superficial ) are only worthy of a quick fuck.... oh my how lucky they are....your original question was 'are women more superficial?'... my answer would have to be no.... i vote Libertine as the most superficial of all of us

are men superficial? yes

is either gender more superficial in general than the other... i doubt it. We go after different things on the superficial front, but we're both picky and ridiculous about different things. Lots of guys won't date a girl if she's a few pounds overweight, or pretty enough for them (whatever riduculous standard that is), or won't date someone who expects them to pay for a fair share of costs (restaurant etc). Some chicks wont' date a guy who doesn't have a car, or isn't willing to buy them supper, or who isnt' good looking enough in their book (again, wahtever ridiculous standard that may be)

and Libertine, there's no need to attack people because they didn't have time to read through several dozen posts, right?

 

I think most women are definetely superficial. But I believe that people in general suck,mostly people in America...that's most likely because of Hollywood and the media. It makes me sick when I witness women obsessing over shoes,clothing & jewelery,complaining about everything they see wrong with men. On the other hand,it makes me sick when men expect women to get plastic surgery,excersise for hours & starve themselves while they sit on their asses watching football and drinking beer. But,like I said...most people are completely idiotic. As for me,I could care less about material posessions. I would just as soon give everything away and be homeless. I think all of us would be much happier without material posessions...

 

If girls were looking for health and vitality then why would they choose crackheads over guys who are drug free? Ahahahah, because their shallow.

 

Seems like there are women here who got what I was saying, those who got it and added something else, those who disagreed in a sociable and civilized manner making great points and then those who have a chip on their shoulder and just want someone to insult and complain about.

That's the risk I took to get the priviledge to be here some intelligent women's arguments--you have to hear the whine bags as well.

the insults Libertine work both ways...i have read many an insult that you have posted.. i shall not worry if i am first on your ignore list...some of your threads are interesting and intellectual...however i disagree with your reasoning when it comes to women...that is my choice...and yours is to block me if you so wish.. but then....wouldn't that be against all you speak of in other threads?

 

Pabsy, I am glad that we agree on some things and disagree on others. I have never put anyone on my ignore list except for a couple of people who followed me around harrassing me. So, don't think I would do that...just for a disagreement.

I'm not like that.

Some of my best friends on the Forums and I have bitter disagreements at times. I love discussion and debate. At no time do I take it personal until it is meant to be...just to hurt...then, I would consider the ignore list.

..i am not saying that SOME women are not superficial...we all know some that are...only that they are not MORE superficial than men..and i thought this was the essence of your thread.. i cannot debate the undebatable and refuse to condemn the majority of women as such...
Women AND men whose ideology is corrupted by material trappings and self obsession are not attractive members of the human race..but thankfully they are not the smajority and so respectfully.... i shall leave this thread to those that are more able to contribute to it.
