Funny you should say that, since especially almost all of us -when we learn anything for the first time (as babies) in our lifetime, we learn it from a woman. Learn to respect the woman a bit man, If you learned anything in your life, it is because of your mother, learn to respect women that way. (not the stupid teenage girls but real women) because you see they are some one's mother, some one's sister , they are the reason mostly why the next generation of humans tends to succeed or fail.
NO, if someone cannot listen to an ENTIRE argument, and can only hear one aspect of it, then it is the LISTENER'S fault. The one who can use both logic and emotion, succesfully, is more........multitasking, so to speak. Not to mention, will never be accused of being "emotionally dead." Emotion does NOT "twist" an argument, if it is used appropirately.
Wowee. I think you're the one that's simple. My first love, a girl I was with for years, was the valedictorian of her medical school class. She received her MD and Master's Degree in China, and was working on her PHD while we were together. She's now a leading medical researcher doing cutting-edge research. There were things that she was better at than me, and vice-versa. Everybody's different, and has their strengths and weaknesses. Women are about 50% of medical school attendance today, and many other professional fields. There are intellectual women and simple men and vice-versa. Welcome to the human race.
You can't just break down how someone should be talked to by their gender. Every single person is different. I'm pretty androgynous, but I'm quite sensitive and I also get defensive when something cruel is said to me. But I'm just me and everyone else is different too. It's a personality thing, not a gender thing.
Yea, exactly. I'm always hearing people say, 'well, you know, men are like x, and women are like y'. While there is some truth to some of those things, I think that's about it. Not all men are alike and not all women are either. People are people. Until someone figures that out, they're probably not even going to get along with people of the same sex, much less the opposite.
YES a lot of men think everything in the world is related to them, when it is not...quite funny. I had an incident tonight where that happened, quite comical I must say. He must feel like a dumb ass heheeee. I would say women are much more savvy, than most guys. But I do know most men do not behave in such an obsessive and compulsive way. Plus they have a penis and all that makes them different.
Not only are men and women different from one another, they aren't the same as anybody. You can't generalize one sex from another just as you can't generalize a gender or race. We're one big bag of pik n mix. Apart from the penis thing, though i did see a woman with a penis rock the axe (guitar) like a demon on Saturday...... pik n mix!
Raskal, was that on that show about Transgendered people? I saw that, too. I was quite an axe player, back in the day, no penis of any sort.
Of course everybody is different, I am not saying all women like vannila ice cream. or black cars... . Gender plays a significant role in development, and everybody can learn, to becoem a doctor or anyone. But women tend to be less intellectual overall, when it comes to socializing, applying logic, panic situations, stress situations... i am sad that it is like that, but its mother nature. Other males who say differently, are just blind or have difficulties in talkign to opposite sex.
No, it wasn't a program, it was a live band in my local, it's a rock/bikers pub. she rocked! I brought "Trish" into this subject as I'm sure she wouldn't agree that men are born to think a certain way, as women aren't. There are many aspects of life that can alter these thought patterns. Saying that women are less socially adept that men is ridiculous, less intellectual? Only a man would come out with something like that.
I think mostly it has to do with this certain organ that's different in men and women. That's just my perspective from up here, though.
Nah, I think the "organ" (unless you are talking about the working breast) has little to do with it. It is mostly body development and brain chemistry. A penis is just a very large clitoris. Not much difference. (With the possible exeption of multiple orgasm.)
I say differently. That doesn't make me blind, it means I have a different opinion than you, and that I'm not a sexist. I think people like you have the problem of making your assumptions based on a stereotype of the gender. If you think about the men who are writers, or artists, or musicians, and the women who shop for shoes and can't wait for the next episode of Grey's Anatomy on Sunday night, then yeah, it'll look like men are smarter. But you must remember the men who are completely obsessed with football, go to keggers every weekend with their frat brothers, and treat women (and a lot of men) liks shit; and the women who are writers, or artists, or musicians, or something else that requires some intellect. There's no overall difference, it just depends on the people you're judging by.
