If humans weren't ment to devour meat, then why do we have canines and other special teeth ment to tear flesh?

We have canines and incisors meant to tear flesh.

I'm a semi-amatureish athlete, or at least I've gotten paid before, [IMG]

I run everyday, do anarobics and eat a really well rounded diet and I still have vegetarians tellling me all the time that they're in better shape... it kinda funny.

They don't back it up or anything, I guess they think they have to justify it to themselves, but its simply not true.

A vegetarian diet definatly isn't inherently more healthy then a omni diet... quite the opposite, meat breaks down into proteins very effeciently, and gives you much more protein per weight then an amount of beans with equal amounts of protein.

I'm not sayiung a veggie diet can't be healthy, but they must be very carefull to eat well, its hard getting proper amounts of protein and amino acids as a veggie.

Meat is very healthy, including red meat, and anyone who tries to tell you differently is trying to justify their personal objections to meat with health talk.

And theres no such thing as a toxin!!!!!!!!!!! Not in the context I hear it thrown around here. [IMG]

hey lodui lots of people get all their protein from simple fruits
highly active mentally grounded people too

anyway being a vegetarian is an accomplishment
so its a big deal if a veggie gloats over their accomplishment
alot of people would be veggies if they could
but they have no support and cant handle it
so people who make it by
r often extremely independent and willed
or want to become that way
    but anyway
sure it doesnt make them any better
after all they could have found a way to give the food to someone who was starving

Well I'm not trying to talk anybody into/out of anything. I eat meat because its natural and delicious, and its very helpful to my diet. [IMG]

Fruit doesn't have much protein in it.

Fruit (1 medium fruit unless stated)
    Protein (g)
    Apple 0.26g Apricot 0.49g Banana 1.22g Blackberries (1 cup) 1.04g Blueberries (1 cup) 0.97g Cherries, sweet, raw (10) 0.82g Grapefruit, pink (1/2) 0.68g Grapefruit, white (1/2) 0.81g

    Chicken
    Protein (g)
Chicken, breast, fried, battered (half) 34.78g Chicken, breast, fried, not battered (half) 31.2g Chicken, dark meat only, fried (3oz) 24.35g Chicken, drumstick, fried 13.21g Chicken, light meat only, fried, (3oz) 27.27g Chicken, thigh, roasted 13.49g Chicken, wing, fried, battered 9.74g Chicken, meat only, stewed, (1 cup) 42.59g
    Beef (3 oz portion)
    Protein (g)
Beef, blade roast, lean only, braised 26.4g Beef, ground, 75 percent lean, patty, broiled 21.73g Beef, ground, 85 percent lean, patty, broiled 22.04g Beef, rib, lean only, roasted 23.16g Beef, bottom round, lean only, braised 26.85g Beef, top sirloin, lean only, broiled 25.81g Beef, steak, rump 18.48g Beef, corned, canned 23.05g

Fruits don't even compare... it also takes more time for the body to digest glucose and fibers, not meats like I've heard some veggies say.

It's a personal choice, and I respect whatever anybody choses to eat... long as its not kittys. [IMG]

anyway i suspect ur data and theory on digestion is inaccurate
fortunately, i also, do not care
what i know for certain is a single watermelon could potentially fuel my toungue for days if not lifetimes, and i think you understand how little else, actually notyhing, even life, could compare to the simplifying of my natural organism functions to be a much more fluid nervous system tweaking happily on black coffee

but why does the bean weigh so mysteriously mucH? I suspect it being a ball of gaseous fiber reflects poorly on its protein content! ahaha!

also consider i do not believe in FDA standards
I have seen too many people with flourishing bodies and minds who live on 5-15g a day

I go days without protein sometimes even weeks and i'm fine, my body doesn't need it. If I don't drink juice or eat fruit for a day or two i start too feel yuck and sick and drink an astronomical amount of juice and feel better. But I never feel better from protein just weighed down and lethargic and overly full. It's not that i'm a healthy eater or moralistic i just don't think I need protein maybe i'm different then most people.

    The stupid...is hurting...my head. Temples...throbbing...

So you quote the FDA and other health organizations to say fish isn't meat. Alright, whatever. Now quote where it says that the body doesn't need protein. Go ahead, quote, you asstard.

eh..isn't this what I said in the statement above your post? I was driving home this point:
If we have canines and incisors, which are soley ment to tear flesh, then humans were obviously ment to eat meat and whoever says otherwise is obviously misinformed. So, an omnivore diet isn't harmful to our health.

Vegetarians are all going to die. Just like everybody else. :D

A lot of people like to say "meat eaters" like that's all we eat. Moderation is the key to good health in any diet.
