Glad to see I got added as an ex-pat at the bottom . Yeah been great here since last November but suddenly one delta case from a kiwi returnee from Australia has ballooned into 200+ and we're all in level 4 lockdown; my first since India in 2020. This might be the make or break for NZ's elimination strategy in 2021: fingers crossed. Might be time to come back home to Scotland but you guys still got 100 deaths a day........ach...riddled with it......just not gonna pay £2000 for hotel isolation! Simon
Just consider yourself very lucky Simon matey. When they started lock-downs here in March 2020, because of my own poor health, I was placed in a 'shielded' category and then spent the next 14 MONTHS in isolation !!!
oh I do, very lucky to have dual nationality otherwise it wouldn't be possible. And for so many it has,and is, being suffering at every level down to a death sentence. I was locked down in India 26 days in 2020, then again in scotland autumn, then 14 days MIQ here on arrival in NZ, and now another 18 days. In scotland with my neighbours being a kilometre away in each direction that wasn't very hard. And a long way from over in the world, travel will never be the same. Life will have to adjust, but then with climate crisis habits needs to change. IMHO all the agri food business is much of the cause of this and future pandemics, along with consumer economics. But that's another story. I hope Vladimir you can evade the current upsurge in the UK and keen on writing good wisdom good politics. Simon
!!! Simon matey, so far I have found a very good answer to the virus - every morning in my mug of coffee I put a small tot of Brandy, it sets me up for the day !!! Hospitals and health centres etc, use alcohol as an external cleaning agent. I use alcohol to clean and sterilise me from inside out
You even have a nutty professor here in London. If you click on any avatar, the small box that appears will normally show you the members location or at least country
funny, after decades I recently switched from whiskey to brandy...but always looked on a dram as healing as well..,..uisge beatha, water of life. Simon
Simon matey, the French have something similar - from the bottom of the wine barrels, they strain off and filter, then distill that, and then distill that a second time - its called Eau De Vie du Pays - the elixir of life - powerful stuff - it'll blow your head off !!!
Lovely white sand at Bournemouth! I used to work in Bournemouth. We opened the Body Shop down there. Lived in Christchurch. Why are you visiting London? Something nice i hope?
