I am not a suburbanite and I am definitely NOT a hippy.

Any of you care to find an actual label that fits me?

I am bored and I do happen to be a suburbanite.
What of it?
"The term Hippie" probably fits me better than any other label you could tag me with. And I have a very "hippie" sort of mind-set, I suppose.
That's my excuse. What's yours, hmmmm????

 

Hippy is an establishment label. Given to thoses that the establishment didn't understand. It's not a club. There are no rules, no membership cards no dues to pay. It's about freedom of choice. It's about living your life the way you feel is right. Being a Hippy today is different then when I was young and called a hippy. We were prostesting in the streets we were shackin things up. We wanted change. Now it is more subdued way of life. But there are still hippies around you just can't spot them as easy as you could before. I'm still a hippy.

Go ask Alice. She may have a check for you if you want to cash in. But you won't get much back. Your dues were payed in your beliefs. And what you were willing to stand up for. Not worth much today. But I'm sure she will cut you a check if you can find her. If you do find her tell her I love her.
