Laugh away, unlike either of you i've done actual research. Because I dont get all my information from youtube videos and right wing blogs

There's really no excuse for anyone to be so ignorant about how a mixed market economy works in 2019. I'm talking about policies that work in literally every other first world country in the world. Literally. Every single one.

If it will go even remotely like last time though, I think he and a lot of left leaning liberals should take the hint and say fuck this party. If they can't get what they want through the Democrat party (which seems likely) its time to really utilize your systems possibilities and leave this shitty status quo behind. Let the Republicans go at it for another 4 years, it will not make them look good and invest seriously for once in a third party. Wishful thinking I know. The majority is too busy with either one of the 2 big parties (can't let the other win! Better have the same old instead), or is so clueless they don't vote at all

Oh hum some right wing pundit says a whole load of crap and a whole load of right wingers begin whooping and a hollering,

But ask them to actually defend the crap in any rational or reasonably way and they become so silent you can hear crickets they shuffle and look at their feet or walk briskly away.

    *

OK the video here is just some of the crap that he said -

All left wingers think that universities have a rape culture – that is plainly just nuts.

There are ‘probably’ more hoaxes than genuine beatings of blacks by white racists – do you right wingers really think that and if so what is your source?

    *

If you met a man married to a woman who said I love my wife but I want to fundamentally transform her. Then he doesn’t love her.

He says this is what left winger’s attitude to America is like that their desire to change America proves left wingers hate America.

But what if someone said my wife has become addicted to opioids and I am trying to get her the help she needs to get better because I love her is that a good thing or a bad thing – by his definition the thing to do is nothing, to not try and help.

It seems to me that left wingers see the problems within US society and want to change things for the better this guy seems to think we should just let things fester.

    How does that help?

Honestly do you right wingers watch this kind of stuff and just accept it without question or thought?

In the CPAC video (don’t bother watching it really is crap) the guy made a big thing out of Obama’s comment of wanting to fundamental transform America as if that was proof of some big bad left wing conspiracy so I went and looked it up.

Obama - “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America. In five days, you can turn the page on policies that put greed and irresponsibility on Wall Street before the hard work and sacrifice of folks on Main Street. In five days, you can choose policies that invest in our middle class, and create new jobs, and grow this economy, so that everyone has a chance to succeed, not just the CEO, but the secretary and janitor, not just the factory owner, but the men and women on the factory floor."

Well for one I don’t think he did ‘fundamentally’ change those things but on the other when you put it in context he is clearly saying that the fundamental things he was wishing to transform were policies.

He was hoping to change (transform) government policy to favour the majority rather than the few – in what way is that a bad thing?

The US really is in need of a multiparty government. You could probably split the Republicans into 3 parties - Trumpers (they would dissolve quickly though :p ), traditional small government conservatives, evangelicals
Then progressives and moderates on the Democratic side
Plus the libertarian and green party

I dunno if it will ever happen though .The two party system is so deeply entrenched

Yups, makes sense. We have roughly the same parties here.

People should figure out by now that this phrase also applies on your democracy:

Past performance is no guarantee for future results

Oh my poor little storch LOL there was no need to wait, I mean come on man did you not read the thread before posting?

OK - Someone posted a link to some jerk talking at CPAC pumping out a whole load of bull shit and I asked the publisher of the link here if they could actually defend any of what the jerk was saying, (knowing they wouldn’t as they never do, probably because they can’t)

Anyway I then posted a few things I was critical of that the CPAC jerk said that I thought could be discussed and defend by those that support this bull shit, I mean 6 said he liked it so i thought he might have a go at defending it (posts 688 and 689 just above)

It was open to all, you can have a go

    ….Waiting….

    Mel

I agree and to re-post something I said in another thread

To me America needs more than a ‘third party’ it needs other parties, a third party of the right, helps the Democrats and a third party of the left gives victory to the Republicans.

But what if there were four parties or more covering any number of views from Christian democrats to right wing libertarians to greens to communists to...well you name it.

And once you are out of the winner takes all yoke that is possible

You’d just need to get all those that are feel unrepresented by the two major parties (from both left and right) to join together to push for the passing of proportional representation legislation.

It wouldn't happen overnight and could be started at the local level first, town, city and district before going state and eventually federal.

    *

BUT if this was tried I’d imagine the full strength of the political establishment would be thrown against it and wealth would try and drown it in gold.

Oh my poor, sad little Balby.

How did that sound? Made me sound like I have a drinking problem, didn't it? Yeah. Anyway, you should have perhaps looked to see what PR was laughing about that I concurred with before you slipped off into belligerence. What you and others are being laughed at about is that you are absolutely clueless when it comes to realizing that you're being taken in by the producers of a soap opera being played out for your benefit; a soap opera brought to you because you'll believe anything. It keeps you occupied. It's big time wrestling revisited.

Oh hey look! The republicans body-slammed the democrats. Oh no, the democrats are off track! What ever will we do? Bernie will save us. And back and forth it goes.

Oh so are you one of the conspiracy nut jobs – ooohhhh everything is all been controlled by some shadowy socialist new world order producer’s oooohhhh believe me is all to do with Satanists, masons, lizards and game of thrones fans secretly pulling the strings - oooohhh

    LOL

What I huge cop out - a cowardly excuse for not been able to defend anything you say.

I’ve known Rat for 18 years and the reason he always falls back on all this conspiracy crap is because he has NEVER been able to actually defend his right wing views in any rational way.

To illustrate the depth of your absentmindedness, I've never mentioned Satanists, masons, or lizards; you just like to spit.

Nevertheless, why don't you show me that you're not a coward when it comes to defending the reality of the soap opera you're hopelessly immersed in. Let's talk about the petrodollar system. What's your "informed" opinion on that? And take your time. I'll be back later to discuss the implications of it with you.

Anyway so you didn’t mention the others but you are saying you are one of the conspiracy nut jobs

Would I be right in thinking you think at the heart of it is a secret conspiracy?

  17. "Bernie will save us" isn't the narrative that's being put forth at all. That's all just his supporters' feelings towards him. But the mainstream media at the moment is focused on how he isn't liked by black people. That's the narrative they're pushing. The people upstairs certainly are not fans of Bernie Sanders. He's only the front runner because he has so much name recognition this time around.

I don't get this idea that they're trying to coerce us into moving farther left. Bernie isn't even that far left, certainly not in any kind of authoritarian way. Centrists have been moving us farther and farther to the right for years. Just look who our Supreme Court justices are. Maybe Bernie seems far left compared to what we currently have. But anyway, it's not like he's being installed. He still has an uphill battle. Establishment Democrats certainly aren't on his side. Some of them have actually begun singing the praises of the right instead. For a played out soap opera, there certainly seem to be a lot of variables the directors have no control over.

Bernie Sanders isnt part of the soap opera. He has stood for the exact same thing for the last 30 years, he stands on principle and has integrity. He doesnt represent corporate America. And I dont think he will "save" us but he has introduced ideas into the mainstream that will help catch us up to Canada, Australia, Japan, most of Europe.

Storch says i'm playing into the soap opera while he has recently presented sources that are paid for by the oil industry. Storch continues to tirelessly defend ideas that are also defended by huge corporations and corporate lobbyists but laughs at me. Storch represents the arms and oil industries, maybe freely and voluntarily, but he represents them all the same..and he's laughing at me for wanting single payer healthcare so people dont have to suffer under our current system.

    Lol.

No. The truth is that I presented scientific facts concerning co2--some of which had nothing to do with the oil industry--but that nevertheless didn't meet with your approval. But if you have any illusions--and I think you do--about how that discussion ended, I suggest you go review it.

But yeah, Bernie. Maybe this time good things will happen. I mean, sooner or later . . .

If only the bad people would stop interfering with the good people . . .

And once again you demonstrate the depth of your absentmindedness. I'm also not a Game of Thrones fan. Like I said, you just like spitting, and can't help yourself.

And no I am not saying that I am one of the conspiracy nut jobs. I'm saying that your unwillingness to give your opinion concerning the petrodollar system--and instead, resort to fifth-grader style insults--shows you to be a coward.
