I'm wondering. How are progressive posters generally received on 4-chan and 8-chan? Is the tone of discourse there more high-minded than here? Is there a site anywhere on the internet that that is so?

I couldn't say because I've never visited either. I know that yellow bullet's political section is brutally anti liberal/pro conservative. Frankly, the back and forth here is more open minded than most I've seen.

These are just some of the more milder expressions that you can expect to receive on boards where insulting other posters hasn't been expressly forbidden by the rules. Suffice to say, 4Chan is a place where 20-something, angry young men go to behave badly, and if you engage them in discussion (note: they will never be civil), you can expect to be told that you should go and perform sexual acts with your own mother. In particular, never try to read their political board, /pol/. Your heart will sink. 4Chan is a vile place full of vitriol, and the culture encourages racism and bad behavior.

My mother's (and father's) family are Haseaten from as far back as the records show. The pride and self confidence that come with that would have probably made her carve you open and show you your insides rather than lay with you, boy.

This thread has been on these Boards since 26 August and this will be the 354th reply. During this period Mr.Tishomingo and Mr. Stormountainman have never once to the best of my memory, conceded a single point made by any person opposing their views.

So my point is Mr. Tishomingo, that if I answer your post #336, no matter what I say you will simply use my words to mock me as you did in said post. I know you'll call this a "cop out" but whatever answer I might give it wouldn't make an iota of difference to you.
