Does anyone else feel as though that in our species' pursuit of knowledge we are researching the wrong things? In modern society, we are trying to create new things and too many theories that cannot be truly proven..
However, I feel that we should be learning 1.about all the things already in existence, and 2. How to live our lives to be happy rather than wealthy.
I believe that this was the main downfall of modern society. We have created too much technology and too many theories too soon in the process of our human evolution..I think those things should have come after we had learned to truly live and understand all that around us.
Anyone else agree or am I just thinking too hard?

i think learning to manage the effects of our own nervous systems is paramount to apprehending anything. We don't come with an owners manual.

Consumer capitalism requires that ever more product be created in the name of "growth" regardless of whether this makes anyone happier or not. There has been an increase in people's experience of power, pleasure and diversive entertainment, but depression and anxiety are on the rise.Contemporary society is largely insane when viewed from any logical and civilised perspective,so for those sensitive to this mass psychosis we need to steer a very steady course to fight for our minds.Just my probably warped and slightly misanthropic opinion.

definitely, people seem to only want to learn in order to get a "job", or a "career" .. not truly because they desire to understand

perhaps it's nature? It's always been survival of the fittest. What society will ever allow people time or reward to do anything else?

    will things ever change?

I'm glad to see the frequent ''WORlLDS FUCKED UP' conspiracy post on fb every 2 days. & At least we're fighting said things on an ideology platform.

It takes two for company and three for society. The only meaningful change is fundamental or changing the mind. Knowledge is material and takes up space. Not everyone allows room for it seeking instead things like comfort. That is why it seems to appear in clumps or chumps as the case may be. A fish lays a thousand eggs and only a few survive to bear fruit. Only a few survive to become truly virtuous in any field and what is practical is what we practice at. We have all the time there is.

the only thing with true worth is light, love. if we weree committed to enlightenment we couldnt ever want for more. but the truth of society is a common and accepted evil with a line thats pretty hazy.

the truth is we're all evil, we just dont know what we're doing wrong. i believe there is an ultimate truth. a real among illusion. however. and i dont believe that truth is an evil one. however im a light seeker.... so.... i have a fairly biased opinion on if evil or good is true. however, one would argue the necessary dark im sure at this point and one might say they are both "true". they might be "true" but i want universal truth here... so... i'll now say that yes, true, there is a need for dark for survival. we [[ we being all of us on the planet, all animals ]] wouldnt form packs we wouldnt establish leadership and we wouldnt kill to eat without darkness. bow down to darkness now children, we need the government to protect us. ;p [[[ sorry for that, it served a purpose though indearly ]] so yes, that's true, but ultimately the planet works with synergy~ for survival of all, not one. and this says that the truth is light. at least of the planet, i think you'd have to also agree that its the same of the solar system, and i believe its the same of the universe. that the truth is truly love. ;3 <3 <3 <3

To not know what we are doing is to be uninformed not evil.

if I was safe to pursue my life id buy more books and become a buddah.

    doesn't work like that.

so im forced to protect myself with other things that then forces me to 'want' a book while im still trying to connect with the spirit world.

excuse me while I go shoot a gun...

there are no "sorts" of knowledge. the dominant culture is persuing the wrong priorities though. mostly from the combination of ego and the dominant missunderstanding of the dominant form of religious belief.

i believe every gray is made up of black and white...,,, and the act is all the same. just by existing we're being evil, because we are who we.., were born as. we couldnt dig all the evil in us out in two lifetimes because its so deeply ingrained.. but that goes into perspective or connectomes or whatevers and feathers. i never mind going into that because its such a beautiful thing but thats very long so..

There is no wrong sort of knowledge. Maybe it lies in how we apply that knowledge? In that sense I would say: SOME people. Yeah maybe a lot. Like almost half? :p A lot of people use our aqcuired knowledge in a maybe faulty way because they have little choice. I don't think we can call those evil because of that.

Shading has everything to do with evil. We are living biological creatures. To say we are evil is a mental abstraction.

to say that evil can even be a state of being is a mental aberration. the only evil that can exist, the only way that evil can exist, is the causing of harm.
if there is any 'wrong kind of knowledge' it is excuses for denying reason and denying that denying reason causes harm.

Denying reason is not the cause of harm. Harm is a reasoning. To know what you are doing allows you to securely direct action and gives less reason to be convinced by unreasonable reactions.

pursuing excuses for denying that the denial of reason is the cause of suffering and harm, THAT is pursuing 'the wrong kind' of 'knowledge'.

i'm sorry 'the dope' but claiming it isn't is a flat out bald face lie. the biggest big lie in all of human history and the one and only thing that has this world screwed up.

that is your real devil. the denial of this so the human ego can deny its own responsibility.
