    no,
but you can't act stupid and say "joint roller" or "bong" you have to use "cigarette roller" and "water pipe", even though the owner smokes. he just don't want to put himself at risk.

    edit...
there is one headshop called "The Shed" that always checks ID's, but it's not really a headshop, i mean they have pipes and stuff but not like the one i was talking about above.

in St. Marks in NYC... they let my friend who looks like a 13 year old kid buy a pipe... peoples morals disappear when you throw a little cash their way.

We have two. One is, one isn't. But I voted no anyway.

The ones in and around hamilton, Ontario sell to minors all the damn time.

You don't need to be of-age to buy a pipe, you need to be of-age to buy the tobacco.

When I was a minor, 15 years ago, none of the shops here in Boston really cared, but it seems like in the last 7-8 years they have all been cracking down. I am friendly with the owner of one shop and he told me it is because the DEA has been going around busting headshops by sending in minors to try and buy things. The DEA also sends agents ask for "bongs" or "bowls", because technically if you call them that they become drug paraphaniala which makes everything in the store, incliuding the till, subject to seizure. This guy has his workers keep the store's cash in their pockets while working in case the store gets raided they can claim it's their personal money and it won't be taken by the Feds.
