Are flip flops Manly?

Figures that Fox News would peddle this sort of garbage on their website. If their only main source of material against flip flops is some disgruntled rapper then they really must be desperate. I thought Oreilly and the bunch didnt like rappers and wanted to rid the world of them, I guess not when it means they have someone to fuel their arguement. The whole idea that flip flops areint manly is just lame. Why is it anyone's business weither men or women wear flip flops? Seriously people should mind their own business and let others wear what they want. If they dont want to see bare feet LOOK AWAY! We really dont care if they dont like how our feet look. Nobody told them to look at our feet. People really need to be in control of their own actions and stop blaming others because they cant keep from looking at things they dont like and then getting disgusted by it. I really wish Fox News and the rest of these uber conservative nitwits would stop trying to micromanage people's lives and tell them what they need to wear. These people areint helping anyone and just making a bigger ass of themselves.

I dont really care if flips are manly or not I just like to wear them, simple as that. Thats all that matters. These people who go on about flips not being manly or fashionable or appeasing to the eye are just vain and selfish and really need to get a life and stop imposing their own selfish desires on other people. Thats why I dont like Fox News and alot of these other people who dont just give their own viewpoint they try to force others to buy into and accept their way of doing things and thats just wrong. Thats not what this free country was meant for.

I love flops, the next best thing to bf, and it's one thing that IS working out nicely in recent years--- the new acceptance and preponderance of flops everywhere. They feel good, and damn, I think I look good in them! For a guy my age.

I live in Florida. I don't care if it's manly or not, it's more comfortable.

 

I find flip-flops too unstable, myself, as i have a significant gap between my toes (comes from going barefoot a lot), so they move around and cause irritation. I've heard you can get "topless" sandals now, which are strapless flip-flops kept on your feet by a layer of special glue on the sole. I think they are called "nudesandals".

 

I love my flip flops. It gets way too hot in the summer to wear shoes all the time, in fact I never wear shoes when its hot. I don't care if others think they're not manly. I'm manly so I dont give a shit, I lift weights in my flip flops bitch.

what exactly is the definition of "manly"... in my opinion words like that only steriotype men and make us seem like were all the same which were not... some people like flip flops, some people dont, it has nothing to do with wheter someone is "manly" or not, its their personality...

Fox News really has nothing worthwhile to say. How do you define 'Real man'? I wear my flip flops year round because I can't get away with being barefoot and also I hate socks.

 

yeah I hear that.. socks are awful. Whenever I wear socks my feet end up sweaty and horrible, and they ALWAYS stink at the end of the day even if I showered in the morning. Ugh. I normally wear flip-flops or zoris when I wear any footwear at all (from my aikido training I know how to move silently in zoris - yes it CAN be done!) So that debunks that stupid article about the "noise factor". if you want to, you can walk silently in fli-flops. But why should I have to? Boots make a hell of a noise, and nobody says that they get pissed off with the clunking!
