So I'm going to decorate my bedroom in a kind of Arabian palace type of thing (you know, oranges pinks and purples, big silk pillows, etc). I need ideas! Oh God! Help! Yes, I am going to be painting the walls, so all ideas are welcome!
Awww that will be so awesome, i always wanted a room like that after seeing "A Little Princess" when her and her friend wake up and their room is all done up like an Indian princess' room.

Paint is your friend. Have you thought about maybe trying to trompe' loil (probably spelled that wrong...) some sort of decorative border at the top, to simulate carvings or molding? Also, check out the "oops paint" section. Since you are looking for vibrant colors, you have a good chance of finding something there. I find really good expensive paint for around $5 a gallon when I shop that way.
