Apply to be a member?...wtf?

    only allowing individuals that you deam fit to join this so called free love religion ....sounds alot like a cult..

    It is fairly obvious that Skip is wanting to prevent COOL from being tore apart from the inside by trolls. The idea of keeping trolls out, more than likely would appeal to everyone but trolls. Hmmmm...

    more like he is afraid of being challenged by individuals with differing veiw points...

    and who would be a troll?....it would seam that skip is the one that can choice who he lets in by labeling anyone he deams unfit a troll......wow what a great "love" religion[​IMG]

    why are there not memberships on all of the other religious forums?

    not only is it away from all of the other religous forums ....it has a member's only feature on it....sounds more like its to wishy washing to be placed out in public scrutiny

    Pretty obvious really - the other forums cover established religions which no doubt, one has to apply to join in some way shape or form.

    It's also obvious that if this was open to everyone, trolling would be the end result. No one is under any pressure to join in here.

    Yes trolling has already begun here, and cheeze whiz is here not because he's really interested, but because he's trying to find flaws with what we're doing, and discredit COOL before it even gets off the ground.

    right?

    See already he's accusing us of being a cult.

    No, it's not in public scrutiny, seeing how it's the FIRST COMMUNITY listed at the top of the Hip Forums homepage! Gee...

    There will be a number of people who will attempt this same thing. Insult us, get banned, then claim that we can't really be about One Love cause we ban people. Yes, we're all just hypocrites, fine. Seen it all before. It won't wash.

    That's a warning to all, that I won't allow trolling in this, or any forum. You've all been warned. We have forum guidelines. Read them, follow them. No more warnings will be given.

    BTW, the ONLY people who've been denied membership so far are those who:
    1. Are under 18
    2. Haven't even reached forum member status yet.

    Yea - I think so.


    Anyway, it's better to try to do something, even if it isn't perfect in every respect (and what is in this world?) than to do nothing or just criticize for the sake of it.
