man, high school will be over before you know it, and those people won't even matter anymore. don't cut your dreads and wear make up for them, do it for you, if that's what you really want, but from what you said, it doesn't sound like it's what you want at all. don't be afraid to be yourself, high school can be cruel and cliquey, but find people that like you for who you are, hang out with them, and who cares about the rest?
there is no reason not to dress to not look like a freak. who you are as a person is in no way reflected in how you dress.
Your dreads are soo cute .... dont listen to those people they are rude ... I wish I had the balls to put dreads in my hair and not give a shit that takes alot of guts and I think thats really cool man.
woman do you have good friends? yeah? well fuck them conformists ;p Sayin fuck it and do like them? Thats probably what a part of em did, because they werent satisfied with their life 'not playin the game'...dont get sucked in
Those people make fun of you because they aren't pleased with themselves and like to hurt other people. You're not like that. If you love your dreads, why get rid of them? If you like the way you dress, why dress differently? Do you like the way that THEY dress? If not, why aren't they giving in and dressing like you? You shouldn't give in and be what they want you to be if you're not happy with how you are. Have pride in yourself and wear what you want. They'll get over it.
Hell Yeah! (not realy, think of karma. Sooner or later all their crimes will kick them 3 times as worst in the balls).
people give me shit for my dreads all the time. I was riding the train a couple weeks ago and this stranger says, excuse me, but what is that shit on your head. and spent the next ten minutes berating me. it's bullshit but it definitely happens. don't sweat it. as my best friend says, people are stupid so they do stupid things.
Should of told him it was candy, and asked if he wanted some. Then stopped talking I've thought about turning my hair into dreads. My brother put the idea in my mind. He even bought some beezwax! Haha. I think I like my hair how it is though. I'm very sensitive when it comes to my hair. I've never had many hairstyles in my life, because I dont like the change of my hair I guess.
Realistically, I know you might call it conformity but theres nothing wrong with seeing if the grass really is greener. If It helps you to make more friends at school and have more fun then it cant be that bad, I mean whe're all basic hedonists when it comes down to it. You've got your whole life to wear dreads around people who love you for it. Chances are though you'll realise how dead boring those girls are but dont torture yourself. sometimes its just nice to fit in...
It sucks now, and there's no real consolation I could give you, except that it will get easier to handle as you get older. In the mean time, take pride in the fact that you aren't like every other Nike wearing, Big Mac eating, Pepsi drinking moron your age, and just be yourself.Just get a little tougher. You're only young once.
I tried the whole 'fitting in, dressing alike, blahblahblah' crap. It got old really fast. The girls that laugh at me because of how I look, well, most of them are so stupid and so boring I'd do nearly anything to keep them away from me. But maybe it's different in other places.
Excluding the internet I have only ever met one cool girl in my entire life. I've given up listening to the verbal diarrhea which comes out of the 99% of kids my age. There's a fine line between being a conformist and just fitting in because you cant be bothered being anti. just do what you want.
fuck uniformity..fuk pleasing others. if they want to point and stare-thats just low and no worriessssss lifes so much better when you are who you want to be
