i've only been to salzburg but it seemed a lovely country there.. went to a gymnasium there for about two weeks doing an exchange last year..

people seem so much friendlier in austria and germany then they are here... but maybe it was because of the type of school i was in.. still
    i like it there:)

migle, i think (but im not sure) that the word schatz in german is kind of an affectionate term.. cant think of the direct translation into english but its a bit like honey, or lovely .. ish..

Yopp. "Schatz" means "Treasure", it's used similar to honey or darling.

Huh, I just read what everyone else wrote what they thought it meant and they're all basically right. There's no direct traslation that I know of, though.

Thank you for the translations, now I know what is Schatzi really well, and at least I know any German word, I would like to know more, I will guess...

There is an exchange program with an French school every year at my school... Now we have a very special kind of sausage here in southern Germany which is called "Pressack". One day someone told the students from France who were here for 2 weeks that "Pressack" means something similar to "Hi" or "Hello" - it was a very funny thing when one of the French students came in our classroom and said "Pressack tout le monde! I need a chair, can I have one...?" :D
