Nice bike, when you travel do you have planned stops to camp or have hotels lined up?

    Thanks!

I have some family on our 2 first stops but for the rest we have no idea. I guess it's going to depend on the weather. We might ride through maine on our way back though, maybe camp there. I really have no idea where we'll stay... Feel free to share some knowledge brother!

Hey, not sure how many it takes, 30 maybe?

I'm not aware of any, I don't really follow events. I tend to just go do my own thing or go with a friend, what not. I'll get out this weekend probably, just go blow out the cobwebs and have a cup o joe somewhere.

Hey Shiv... cool didn't know you ride. BMW R1150GS ADV here. Oh, and a Honda ST1300A as well, but it's for sale.

I would think touring thru Nova Scotia would be awesome fun.

    Happy trails, be safe. :sunny:

    1990 V-max here;named Kermit. [he's green]

    I must've been told a thousand times that max's can't corner-always by someone who's never ridden one.

Funny that,as I live in a marshland with the twistiest roads in the UK,and all my mates on gixers etc can't stay with me.

Good set of Avons, high, slightly swept-back bars, set of heavy [6oz] bar-weights,single seat conversion and a givi screen.

Best comment I've had was "What's an old boy like you doing on a bike like that?"

    Tut!

Sounds like a cool trip. I am trying to plan mine out, it would help for me to get my stops settled. I'm guessing for my scooter I should be able to cover 200 miles a day. Is that unreasonable?

Not knowing for sure where you are going to settle in for the night is part of the excitement too. By the way, that's Sis!

No prob about the events. Not finding much going on. I would like to see Deep Creek in San Bernardino but haven't been able to get much research done the last couple of days.

Nice bikes by the way, the Honda looks like a heavy bike....the heritage i have is low to the ground and light weight, the scooter I drive for my company is a Suzuki EJewel, bigger wheels, heavier and more straight up, I have a hard time getting it off the kickstand when it's parked on a slope.

I just recently found out about deep creek too, I'd never heard about it till recently. Looks like weekends are not the best time, weekdays much better. It looks like it would be a prime place for a day "trip". As in bike ride and psychedelic. It's on my short list. :)

Nice bikes man! I've always wanted to try a bike like your Beamer, looks like alot of fun!

Yeah we're thinking of going through quebec, new brunswick, nova scotia, and then newfoundland, and come back through maine and NY. I'm looking forward to it for sure! I hear the cabot trail in nova scotia is one of the nicest motorcycle rides in the world!

Happy trails and be safe to you too! :cheers2:

Indeed, I've heard and read the same about the cabot trail. But then again I imagine most of nova scotia being gorgeous, at least when it's not winter :)

Probably the best road I've been on for pure riding pleasure was the Lolo pass between Idaho and Montana. But far and away the best overall is the Alps. Motorcycle heaven!

Your trip sound epic. Hopefully you'll enjoy a "side trip" on the way. :sunny:

Unfortunately right now the weekend will have to do it. Thinking of heading out on Saturday, stay for a couple nights.

My motorcycle trip is not before mid-august so I'll most likely enjoy a ''side trip'' some time before that :sunny:

Y'know, reading some of the places you lads have to ride makes me feel very 'small potatoes'.

    Idaho,Nova Scotia,Montana,Maine,Quebec,et al.
These are places I can but dream of riding in.

The furthest I've been is Sicily, but that was on my trusty old Fudge.
Though I have to say, giving it the beans along the autobahn is a gift from Heaven.

I do go for a pootle around France every so often-but that's no biggy, coz Kermit & I get on the ferry in Dover and get off in Calais.
We've been to Amsterdam-but again, get on a ferry at Harwich, get off in Amsterdam.
There's actually not a lot of riding to do in Amsterdam,so I tend to zip off to Rotterdam just for the ride.
Mostly I'm just wandering around the UK-which compared to the US is a tad on the small side...damn-and there was me thinking I got around a bit.

Ah,but it's only a very short ferry ride away from me,Shivaya.
I drive trucks all over Europe,so when I go somewhere I think is promising,it's just a case of 'kit on,rucksack on back-go'.

Without a doubt,Italy is the best place in Europe to take a bike.
The food is amazing, the locals are always very friendly-no matter which part of Italy you're in-the roads are fantastic.....and you can whizz past a police car without thinking "Oops".

Apart from which,to get there I use the trucker route to Mount Blanc, then hit the twisties 'over the top' to Lake Comos-where there's ALWAYS several dozen bikers from all countries gathered as it's supposed to have mysterious healing qualities.

Personally,I find a brew,a smoke and a cute Swiss girl on a KTM are all the healing I need.

    [fnur fnur fnur]

But-to say I'd ridden Highway 101 from Seattle to Frisco,or done the cabot trail.....sigh.
