I've been pretty lazy with activism for the last year. Too much work and school. Last night protesters sshut down 880 I'm sure tonight will be similar except OPD will have gas ready. Seems to tense afterlast night's altercation think ill stay home and hear the scanner. Be safe. Whatdo you do at protest? I mostly march and chant.
There is a black lives matter protest in my city tonight, but i'll be steering clear. Saw some dude on facebook earlier trying to rile people up and threatening cops. Most of the people protesting are pure in intention, but then you have assholes like that. I hope it doesnt turn violent.
I agree Meliai. Most people just wanna go out and express frustration but many began vadalizing and such. With that said things seem tense after last night . I'm almost sure OPD will show up in full riot gear (cant and blame em) and have tear gas to deter the freeway from being blocked. Bring vinegar and goggles

As some of you may know, I live under a rock. What did I miss about this newest bout of "Black Lives Matter"? I'm guessing there was some gang violence or something recently?
Two men shot by cops, two different states. Last night, five officers in two departments in Dallas were killed. Try looking out from under your rock. I'm not going to whatever might be going down in Oakland. The night Occupy turned was enough for me, and Libby Schaf is a bit cooler headed than Jean Quan was, but she will have to do something. All patrols are in pairs right now.
