Im just wondering if theres some way to get started on making cartoons... Thing is, I got some crazy ideas. Don't ask me to describe them because, well, you'll think im a phsyco! Anyways. I just would like to come up with some way to post cartoons on the internet just as a hobby I could do a little on the side. Don't know if I will do it though, im kinda tied down in my life. Full time job, girlfriend. Yea yea yea, you all got full time jobs, wives, kids, blah blah blah... but hey these two things do suck up quite a damn bit of my time. Now, it would be nice to make cash off em... though that's unlikely. One thing that always confuses me is how shit on adult swim actually makes it. I mean seriously, these artists are terrible. Im definitely entertained by it all, because its twisted and adult themed. That's the kinda shit im into. It doesn't have to look amazing as long as the concept is funny. Though I always look at some shit I see on TV or the internet and think, "FUCK these guys are nowhere near as screwy or twisted in the head as I am!". So I often wonder... are the people who create these toons privately just as fucked in the head as their fellow cartoonists and the people watching them? Or is there actually a pretty damn good amount of censership out there? Because, I feel like if you really want to get hardcore laughter from the audience to shows like aqua teen hunger force, squidbillies, robot chicken, and familyguy/americandad/clevland show... you could actually do much better. To give you an example of what I mean... If you ever watched human centipede 2(and yes, 2, because once you see 2 one is pretty much nothing) and if you liked it because of how they break every rule and put whatever the fuck they want in it(he not only sews people together anus to mouth, but a pregnant woman crushes her baby on it) you should realize that there was a really horrible scene taken out of the show where the guy creating the centipede wraps barbed wire around his.. and yea... So, I often wonder how much a person is actually allowed to do when creating cartoons, movies, or anything. I KNOW television is censored big time here in the USA. But even small, independent cartoonists that mainly do their hobby online like joecartoon are probably censored somewhat as well.. Anyways.. Yea if theres some way to get into the toon creating hobby it'd be awesome. Problem is, drawing isn't something I could do well. All I got are is ideas. It would work better if I could either draw it myself.. or ... find someone whose as fucked in the head as I but can actually draw and animate. Im sure it probably takes a whole crew to create something that gets on TV period. Shows like family guy for example..
You have to draw each frame ...every minute movement is a different drawing...then run them all together. It is very laborious, redundant work.....so you better love it! Good luck to you!
That's a good idea moonglow. I think a lot of people start out that way. I also think you could use animation software.
