Anyone know any good locations in uk Liverpool to find shrooms or come on a hunt. If you do any good location or would like to hunt for some post a reply to this thread.

 

Liberty caps are your best bet. Damp, south facing fields. Sheep can suggest where they are, but it's aren't necessary. It's probably a little too early for them to be popping up now, you'll have more luck in August, September, November-ish.

In the meantime, practise "fullscreen" vision. Focus on your whole field of vision, rather than a particular point. It makes the difference between looking for needles in haystacks and looking for mushrooms in a field.

Oh, and ID accurately.

When I was seventeen I was shown what to look for and where to look
Find someone local,
I imagine you need to head into Lancashire!
It's been too dry lately, but today's rain might bring them out.

I pick mine in the North Wales foothills,
It's very random where to look,
They are particular!
Get walkin, best way to find them!
Don't look in mossy fields,
