As far as I am concerned it was and always will be pork roll. You can not beat a pork roll , egg , and cheese sandwich on a HARD roll . Where I live now they have no idea what pork roll is. Or even what a hard roll is. What they call a hard roll here is just a regular roll Now my next question what quantifies as south Jersey ? Where is the cut off line across the state ? Do you go by the area code ? I used to have a 201 area code and the person a few house away from me had a 609 area code. ( Now that area would be a 732 area code ). But I often wondered what the magical line was between the north and south part of the state.
That works. I always figured anything below Freehold was south Jersey So they both kind of line up so that works .
