Yeah, I wanted to get on there to see if any of my friends were, but when I noticed you had to register to do anything, I was like, "Fuck that." The last thing I need is to let everyone know what the fuck I'm doing with my life, lol.
I like MySpace because damn near everyone and their dog has one these days and I keep up with almost everyone through it. I've had my MySpace since waaaay before it was cool. I didn't follow the fad, I helped start it! Wahahaha.
I hate those as well. I like the idea of keeping in contact, but this whole idea of trying to show yourself off to the world, it's just lame. this twitter things is even worse, how bloody self indulgent do you have to be to think people want to know what you're doing every second of every day.
I know a lot of Etsy sellers use it to update when they added new items to their store. NPR uses it to give listeners updates on programming for the hour. I think it's more buisness related than 'hey update-look at me I took a shower' kinda thing. I might be wrong though.
That's perfect that's why you can choose who you want to know what you are doing, hell you have to have people that actually are interested in e-stalking you in the first place. Basically if you aren't a comic artist, pornstar or some type of celebrity you would have too much to worry about.
most hilarious thing I have ever read posted on a message board. I don't find plurk(which is a blatant rip off of twitter but with more ability to reply - instead of just read the mini blog feeds) that much different than a message board. You make friends, have convos post "random" things of interest that happened. I originally got a plurk account because I wanted the little app on my blog- the little mini blog I could update quick , with stuff going on around the house as it happened in between the blog posts(which has become a huge source of communication with my family and freinds, more about what Rory is doing than I) - Yeah, I am a mom and have a typical mommy blog post tons of pics. The grandparents like it.meh. God, I am a dork
i think it's genius for family communication. with the way families are so spread out anymore it's so convenient. i wish i was better at it.
Exactly. I keep up with family and my close close friends through MySpace. I don't get why that's so hard to understand. I don't like e-mail, and people hardly use messenger anymore. And I'd rather break my phone into bits than hear it ring or call someone else. But oh, don't mind me, I'm just being a typical American and following fads, even though those fads are what keep my friends close.
i don't think it's australians in general as much as one particular australian retard troll... i love how you're so proud of your ignorance and want to remain as ignorant on all subjects as possible.
I don't like myspace much and I don't like facebook much. The good thing about them though is people upload their pictures to them (pictures when I asked for previously, I never got) and I don't have to ask for them. Downside being when I ask them to take the photos down, they make up bullshitty excuses.
