No, but I've done diphenydramine HCL, which is supposedly derived from atropine(the main active ingredient in datura) and causes almost identical experiences. I almost died and was talking to people that weren't eeven there. It's not psychedelic at all, it's more of a delerient and is actually fatal. That shit is so fucked up and causes a complete lack of any sanity or even the idea of sanity.

I am too lazy to search the internet, but from what I recall from my studies of the plant in high school, when I developed a strong fascination with the plant, it was named after a couple of British soldiers ate leaves of the plant at Jamestown while under British rule and became delirious for several days. So the term evolved from "Jamestown weed" to "Jimson weed."

Although I searched intensely for the plant in wastelands of central Florida, I found a cousin of the plant in my friend's girlfriend's backyard garden. It certainly had the right alkaloids, because I had one hell of an experience.

 

We did it a lot in high school.It just grows everywhere around here.I had two friends who got totally fucked up and their kidneys shut down.They were in the hospital for about two weeks and one of them has permenant kidney damage.It does get you high,pits you in another world but it is dangerous.At the very least it gives you the worst headace that you have ever had.I would stick to safer hallucinogens.

 

Last summer two kids did some out in the desert. Later, one kid came stumbling to a ranger station, wearing nothing but his underwear. A few days later, they found the body of the other kid.
