Id say he's one of the most important people I've ever read about. Changed my life. Anyone here ever meet the man or attend one of his retreats?
Never met him, but read his books. Be Here Now was all over the hippie scene when it was written back in '71. What did he say that changed you?
I read Be Here Now in 1974…I thought is was enlightening then, more than I could be enlightened at the time
Just his perspective on life, always got people to look at a situation in a way not considered. Got me into hinduism. Have a puja table because of him. Introduced to so many teachers.
Read Be Here Now. In all honesty the jury's still out. Don't get me wrong. I lived the drugs, mysticism, no permanent dwelling place etc. life. Maybe I expected more. I have a copy and haven't got round to reading it again. Probably should.
