Enjoy nature in the zoo? I rather see polarbears or lions in the wild on tv (depends on the docu though, but they're on all the time so you can be selective :p).

I hardly much watch TV. After 2000, everything became so dumbed down and, at times, just stupid. Most people seemed to stop trying new things and I miss that having grown up during the 90s when everything seemed quirky with an off beat. I feel sorry for today's generation thinking the stuff they watch now is so great.

There's only handful of new stuff that I bother keeping my TV for other than playing video games on and watching old classics that rerun on certain networks that fill me with nostalgia where I feel like a kid again.

I really have the feeling this is mainly the case in the US. Not that there isn't a lot of trash on european channels of course but there's lots of quality in west-Europe as well (can't talk with certainty about tv in other european countries :p)

I actually watch very very little boobtube. All these reality shows are soooo lame, and the big three are a joke.
    I prefer NPR radio mostly....:-D

    Its almost not worth it!!!!!

Garbage on the screen ALL THRU YOUR SHOW telling you of other shows, etc ITS FUCKING SICKENING!!

I watch LOONEY TUNES on cartoon network and all thru it this thing comes on "ALL NEW EPISODE OF THE LOONEY TUNES SHOW .. TUESDAY AT......."

    LOONEY TUNES - AWESOME!!!!

"THE LOONEY TUNES SHOW" - DISGUSTING NEW GARBAGE!!!

    And on BOOMERANG

    PINK PANTHER - AWESOME

"PINK PANTHER AND FRIENDS" - DISGUSTING NEW GARBAGE!!

Thank goodness they took that crap off,if they wanna show that new crap KEEP IT ON CARTOON NETWORK!! (Boomerang is for classic (GOOD) cartoons (AND THEY ARE STARTING TO NOT DO THAT RIGHT!!))

I sent an email last year telling them what a piece of crap PINK PANTHER AND FRIENDS was compared to PINK PANTHER and they should take it off boomerang!! (Which thankfilly it now is)

Most people on here say they don't watch TV, then go on to say the television shows they watch online...I think the original poster meant watching ANY TV. However, I agree with most of you, TV is fine in moderation...and it's the advertising that drives most of us crazy. I download all the shows I like to watch and play through a large secondary monitor from my laptop. I hate reality shows and most sitcoms. I watch a lot of historical documentaries, I also love Star Trek (in all its forms), True Blood, Family Guy and The Tudors. I have been living in the backblocks of Northern China for the past year and a half and feel I have been watching a little too much of the shows I like - mainly as a way of maintaining my sanity - Chinese television is impossible to bear! I'm leaving soon and will be able to get back into some of the hobbies I left back at home - reading stacks of books, cooking, knitting, studying (all things difficult to do in China - unless you are very good at reading Chinese characters, cooking Chinese cuisine etc). :2thumbsup:

I haven't owned or watched a TV in many, many years...way too stupid. However when I'm around TV's other than in my home I'm pretty sure the TV is watching me and reporting back to the black helicopters. :alien:

Its the advertising.. to be honest it flicks my RAGE switch.
The mindboggling idiocy of it. The ignorance.

Idiocy and ignorance lead to only one thing.. disaster

Most channels suck, but there will always be some good channels. I don't know how you can live without tv though, I sure couldn't.

When you kick the idiot box out of your life, suddenly you get plenty of time to do other things you usually put aside: reading, gardening, sewing, painting, working out, playing with the kids, taking that Spanish class you think of for so long, etc. Everyone I know that got rid it of it came to have more fulfilling lives in the end, by being more active and having more varied hobbies.

    I like the Spanish class.
Tv is Information dumbed down to what we are expected to undertsand.
Get that 'what we are expected'

What we who are more eductaed than the advertisers are expected to accept [well i am]
I have a pretty good iq.. but that really means nothing.. its what i do with it
i kicked the shit out of my tv 11 years ago when it tried to sell me another piece of crap.
I got back to books and hobbies which i had aplenty
    Some have careers.. career away.

    But

    who dreams the dreams

    This.

Most things on tv are so stupid that I can get hostile if it's played around me and I can't get away.
