Uhhh...... SERIOUSLY? REALLY? OK... to each their own... But I would DEFINITELY rather have sex than watch TV.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact there are things you would rather do than have sex lol....

    Care to give some examples?

Anyways, people are foolish for paying for tv when you can get hd for free, just need that box.

I do watch TV, but I just started a fire in my fireplace, and I'm finding that much more interesting. Off goes the TV.

I don't watch tv in the way that some might sit and channel surf in front of a television. I do however watch some things on my computer (mainly films) so although I am essentially still sitting with eyes fixated on a screen, it is more deliberate. Though during times in my life I have gone without tv, movies, completely. I like to enjoy a good movie or show, though like with all things, in moderation, so I'm not wasting away unproductively. kudos to those that go without, its become a rare thing!

Any particular kind of show? Adult? MTV? Simpsons? :D

I have watched TV while having sex, but it was MTV once and then sometimes when the mood strikes some adult title....

What factors for example? Good shows? Then you'll be heading for a very rough dry patch LOL

I don't think there have been too many good shows since the 90s.

Only good ones I have seen have been LIFE (now over), HOMELAND, Eureeka (Also now over), and too many more to list.

Hurricaine Sandy hit us around Halloween, we had no electricity for 12 days.

We saw no TV. was the height of the presidential election we were spared all of the high anxiety of politics and of sports.

We went to bed real early, twas a restful time

I don't have TV (a screen, but no broadcast/cable, only dvd/music/internet) and I'm about at a point where I can't hardly stand to watch TV when I come across it in outside life.

I have not had a TV for about 3 yrs. I don't miss it. Part of the original motivation for ditching the box was that it made me tired and the constant adverts sent me into a frenzy.
I watch selected stuff on the internet, I think perhaps that's the furture of broadcast anyway.

Our TV is used as a computer monitor. We also use game systems on it. We do not watch normal TV on it but we do watch Netflix. I usually watch Netflix on my IPod when I am falling asleep.

I don't think it's that unusual. For a lot of people the computer is a more common vice. For most people, the TV has been more "replaced" than, say, given up in order to spend more time reading. (People do a lot of the same things they did on their TV's on the computer, plus more.)

But that doesn't mean the TV can't help boost brainpower in any way. Watching quality TV programming can make you think, and getting the characters' mindsets in drama shows can sharpen psychological intelligence and social skills, according to some studies I've read (though I may not remember correctly, and could be overgeneralizing since the paper was referring to reading fiction).

My TV signal is crappy and I'm too cheap to pay for service so I barely ever watch it, myself.

My mom practically raised me with a television until I moved out at 16.... as in literally used the TV as a babysitter.
When I broke up with my ex a few years back, I sold his TV and I'm so glad for it.
You have to wonder; TV is what the powers that be choose for you to watch. Anything I want to watch I can download online. My husband and I don't own TV or cable, just internet and library cards.
